I am 5''2' and this little stool is the best! It folds up and is easily tucked away. I keep on in my kitchen already and this one is going in the main room closet. I weigh 170 lbs. and it is very sturdy. My 9-year-old uses it often as well. She can easily unfold it and fold it back up.

This Folding Stepping Stool, Portable Collapsible Plastic Step Stool 9 Inch is handy to give you that extra bit of height without needing to get out the bigger step stool. It is reasonably sturdy but I don't expect it to last for years on end. It folds out fairly easy, but you do need to tug the sides open the rest of the way (careful to not pinch your fingers when you do) to ensure that it is extend enough. Overall, it functions but has some areas for improvement.

The advertising says it can hold up to 350 pounds, which I don't doubt it can. However, the center part of the step (where the handles are) is weak and putting too much weight might break the handles. I step around them. I don't feel the safest on this, but it's not wobbly. It's appearance makes it look toy-ish or for kids. It is probably best for kids. It's lightweight and folds easily. For $15, it's an okay stool.

Updated review: one of the all plastic cross bracing hinge ends broke off after a few months of light use. Now instead of the bracing being connected by 8 points, is only secured by 7. Still works for a light person, but worry about the extra strain on the rest of the hinge points.I weigh 155 lbs. Plenty sturdy for me, but I am not sure about 200+ lbs plus.Folds up very compactly. Will store in laundry closet; between wall and washing machine to reach linens on shelves above.9" is not at high as I would like to reach over the washer to the shelves above and behind. On the other hand, the higher up you are on such a small platform, the more precarious it will feel.

The grommets are poorly fitted and surely wont last. They either need to be cut better or need a stronger adhesive.Otherwise, the stool functions and works perfectly fine. It's pretty stable for a person around 90lbs using their full weight so, no qualms there.
