Bought this mount for its intended use. Works very well with the Mini. Well constructed and easy to adjust.It also works well as a camera mount when it's not supporting a Mini dish. The camera is used to monitor the solar input and battery use remotely. Prior to using the mount the camera was held in place with zip-ties.

This mount is very sturdy but the clamp limits it a bit. The clamp is mostly engineered to work well on round rail or piping up to a couple inches thick. square rail can be problematic and mounting it on the edge of a flat surface (like a board, for example) can also cause problems.

Picked this up to mount something with a 1/4" tripod mount and this clamp was fairly easy to set up on a narrow pole outdoors. Seems a bit heavy but the ball joints seem tight enough to last a while.
