A stainless steel crown race guarantees durability, with an alloy top cover to save weight.

Finding the correct headset is often difficult. This headset was well made, the upper(42mm) is a 45 45 but the lower(52) bearing does not have a 45 degree angle on its top outer surface that installs into the frame. The description just says "industrial bearing" that doesn't describe much. There is a 45 degree on the inner surface that sits on the bearing race (or integrated fork), but it is square on the upper part. Some people install this and wonder why their frame/fork gap is so wide. It is because there is no angle on the upper/outer part of the lower bearing. Thank you for "free returns" ... hope this review helps someone else from ordering the wrong part.
