A loss of money is not exact fit . And when I tried to make it line up it broke very poor quality plastic . A waste of money and time .

Product functions as intended. It does seem to be shorter than the oem fiberglass one. This may make it tight to attach to the fenders.

I have a 6/97 built F150 and wanted to update the headlights which I found only available for post 6/97 built models due to a change in the mounting panel. This panel was too short, left to right and front to back. Pushing hard enough allows the L-R side alignment pins to mate but then all the screw holes are about 3/4" off and would require re-drilling but worse the grill is unable to attach at the bottom as the panel is too short (F-B) by about 1 1/2". I found a used panel from a 1998 and it fit perfectly. The remaning issue is the new AmeriLite Replacement Crystal Headlights (which state they do not fit pre 7/96 built) are not as wide as the originals and there is a 1/2" gap between the grill and the lights on the inner-sides, whereas the top, bottom and outer-sides are fine. Perhaps the 98 grill is smaller than the 97, wish I had measured before I disposed of my old lights. My wife didn't notice the gap though so I'll live.
