This is an excellent stool for my purposes (guitar stool). The build quality is good and solid, and overall this drum throne is well worth the price, in my opinion; hence the 5 star rating.HOWEVER…The item I received, sold by Amazon.com, appears to be a return, resealed and sold as new. I base this on the fact that the box was double-taped, the warranty card was missing, and the chrome around top of the seat post was scarred where someone had apparently attached the seat, tightened the retaining screw, and then rotated the seat on the post, scratching the finish. Not enough of an issue to justify returning the stool, but disappointing and definitely not the “new condition” Amazon stated.
