I was really happy to find this as in our household we make a lot of stocks, soups and stews etc. This handy gadget means that we can infuse the food with fresh herbs and spices without having to then attempt to fish out anything that wouldn't be pleasant to bite on when eating. Everything fits easily into the infuser, including large whole bay leaves. A thoughtful design feature is that it can be locked at 4 different heights, which means it can be used in pots of varying depth. I would recommend getting a small pipe cleaner or keeping an old toothbrush handy for cleaning inside the infuser after use. It is a well designed and sturdy piece of kitchen kit.

Mine had been previously unboxed and used. Cord was not attached to both pieces. Dirty too.

I used this to infuse an Indian rice dish. Previously used a cloth bag...this is sooo much more convenient and ‘sanitary’ and the holes really allow the flavours to diffuse! Clean up is a breeze!

Pour éviter que votre bouquet garni s'éparpille dans votre soupe... votre sauce... votre choucroute... ou autre !Cette boule à épices est très bien pensée, elle est assez grande pour y rentrer pas mal de chose, elle est solide (elle ne s'ouvre pas en plein milieu de la cuisson ou lorsque vous essayez de la retirer de votre casserole), elle se lave très bien, elle s'accroche très bien à l'anse de votre marmite !A avoir absolument dans sa cuisine, quand on aime bien cuisiner... mais peut également servir pour faire infuser de la tisane ou du thé, idéal en été pour de la tisane ou du thé froid, si on a un contenant avec une grande ouverture (Ex : pichet tupperware, un pichet en verre auquel on peut accrocher la boule à l'anse...)

Bought for my husband for stuffing stuffer last year. He loved it so we got one for each of our children that do a lot of cooking. All your herbs, pepper corns, etc. stay in infuser without having to skim out.

I use this for spices when making sauces and soups. It is plenty large enough for that purpose, and it stays together. Nicest one I've found - much easier than using those cheese cloth bags with little string ties.

Especiero o filtro excelente. Lo he probado en diversas ocasiones.. puedes graduar la cantidad de esencia que quieres que suelte. La limpieza es fácil y queda perfecto. Buenos materiales.Recomiendo su compra hasta el punto de que intentaré buscar si hay alguno también de tamaño inferior, ya que para ollas pequeñas se me queda grande.

I have an Irish Hubby who loves his cornedbeef and this gizmo is wonderfull for holding pickling spice in the boiling pot. Also great if you home can vegetables. No more cheese cloth for me!

This is a very good tool for infusing dishes with herb/spice flavors. It holds a lot of herbs/spices, stays together and the rubber cord keeps it on the side of the pot. It is adjustable if only a small amount is desired.I made a big pot of tomato sauce and was able to put bay leaves, parsley and thyme in the infuser.
