I tried using a sharp, new blade utility knife to cut a shoe sole to no avail. Then I tried utility scissors and that doesn't work either. I have no idea how to get a smooth cut out of this stuff for shoe soles. It's well made and I'm sure great for many purposes, but not for mine. : (

I use this to add grip to any pair of canvas sneakers I get, it adds cushion and grip! I don't like to wear them before I add this, because they hurt my feet. I love this soling !!!!

I have some micro tears on my planter fasciitis. Unfortunately I have to wear a boot in order for it to heal, estimated time 4 to 6 weeks. I’m on my feet all day, working in the restaurant industry. The back of house floor can be very slippery from food falling, mopping, and occasionally oil from fryers can drip onto the floor. It can be a very dangerous environment. Restaurants require nonslip shoes. The boot sole that came with it was not slip resistant. I called a shoe doctor and quoted me an insane amount of money to resole my boot. I called medical supply stores. They offered me some junk to tape on bottom of boot. Looking through Amazon I stumbled across SoleTech. I am completely satisfied with this product!!! I took off the old sole, then bought some shoe glue, I traced the outline and cut it with a razor and industrial scissors. The kind to cut wire. I let it set for a few days then went to work. These soles are awesome!!! Honestly I’m tough on these soles. I stepped in water, soap, oil and butter all at once trying to make them slip. The soles don’t budge. I’d you are in a high slip, fast pasted environment, these will absolutely do the trick. The only thing I noticed is when I walk in the freezer the slip a bit then catch. Definitely not a deal breaker. I ordered the soles on a Wednesday, they arrived on a Saturday the same week!! I’m happy I found these. Since I only have one boot to sole, There is enough product that I could sole the other side if needed. Thank you SoleTech!!!!!!

$50 non-slip shoes fall apart in 3 months. Vans only fall apart at the sole. So, I stuck this stuff you the bottom of some vans and it was great. I recommend cleaning the bottom of the shoe and the sheet with alcohol, letting it dry, then applying an even layer of Shoe Goo on both surfaces then sandwiching them together, then laying a cinder block on it for 24 hours on a flat surface. It flattens the shoe a bit but it will bounce back (unless it's leather, then you need a new plan) It really get a good bond all the way through. My first attempt without adding weight was a failure. It didn't adhere evenly and eventually peeled off.

Haven't used it yet. Too thin and soft, probably will not use it for soling shoes.

Wish it was enough to sole more than 1 pair, but my shoes are super grippy now for restaurant work. Stoked since I'm only comfortable on my feet for long periods of time in sanuk pick pockets or vagabonds, the soles of which aren't great in the kitchen (designed to be beach shoe), so now I have the best of both worlds. One reviewer said the rubber is too thin and soft. I've probably put about 100 miles on the rubber so far and the grippy tread is about the same as when I put them on. The tread will pick up junk in the creases if you step on gravel or food in the kitchen though, but it's a worthwhile trade off to not have to worry about slipping.
