These pulleys attach to, and are driven by, the front of the engine crankshaft. They connect to various engine accessory drive components by a belt drive system and help ensure that components, such as the water pump, alternator, and power steering pump, receive power from the rotating crankshaft to perform their vital functions. Crankshaft pulleys also work as harmonic dampers to help decrease crankshaft torsional vibration. This pulley is BRAND NEW OEM. It is painted black, has a "MADE IN CANADA" sticker on it and has 6 groves. It is also the same diameter and bolt pattern of a Chevy Cavalier 2.2L, however the Cavalier pulley has 5 groves, but probably would work fine on the Cavalier engine, in a pinch.
