It is a genuine Subaru Timing belt, has the correct timing marks clearly placed on the belt making the install idiot proof. I purchased the vehicle not knowing if the timing belt had been changed so decided to change the belt to make sure. I am glad I did as the belt had been changed previously with a non OEM belt, with no timing marks, and the installer had installed it one tooth out of position. The car now runs so much better and I am confident that the belt is good for another 100K miles.
