I'm a baseball umpire and I use this for extra padding under my chest protector. I love that the back foam padding is removable because theirs no need for it if you use it for umpiring.

(for reference, I purchased this directly through G-Form. They refused to accept my return)Had a fall on my first ride with this on. Ended up in the ER with an AC Joint Separation. This impact shirt didn't seem to work as advertised in any way. I was hoping that it would at least reduce my injuries to something less serious, but as far as I can tell, it didn't help at all.Please use caution if you're going to be relying on this shirt for your safety.

This is a great upper body protector. Probably good for most people riding light to moderate trails.
