Great item. What the 2-D photo does not show is that this has an angle down to the snare wires on the bottom head. I like it much better than most "non-vintage". And I got a great price "used" (probably returned because it was still new in the sealed package).

It was impossible to find the appropriate butt plate and strainer for an old (40s era) cannibalized Leedy snare drum that I was given. Although I had to drill one new hole to mount it, I'm pleased with the Slingerland reproduction butt plate and strainer by Gibraltar. It has a great vintage look!
