I was forced to buy this one to go with the newer racks. The metal ones are much nicer and won't eventually crack like these new plastic ones. And they're a lot of money for a piece of plastic! The fit is also much tighter so the actual luggage is much harder to get off. If you can use the metal ones...I'd do that.

I have had GIVI motorcycle luggage in various types for over 5 bikes. This plate fits a GIVI rear rack I installed on my most recent bike and works as advertised. The main reason for 4 stars? GIVI doesn’t share well with others haha. I would like to be able to strap down other stuff to my GIVI rack/plate when I don’t want to mount the whole big tail box. But there are no provisions for straps or anything like you get with a lot of rear racks etc. Also, GIVI’s website is pretty bad. If you really want good info on their varying and seemingly competing product offerings, you have to rely on 3rd party reviews.I have no issues with the supplier/shipper of this product. It arrived timely and was packaged well.

We recently bought a motorcycle that came with a Givi top case, but it was kind of small for our liking. We ordered a bigger top case, but had to order a different mounting plate. It was so easy to switch the plates. We added the stop/brake light kit to our Top Case and part if tge wiring goes on the plate. We are happy with it.

I had this mount on a rental in the UK and it was very sturdy without any rattles. The shop owner swore but it so I took his advice when it came to my personal bike. I mounted out on my Africa Twin I have no complaints. And it's half the price of the aluminum plate...
