The portal axle kit comes with a differential lock door axle that you can install directly.

Please note that after installation, there is a probability that your throttle direction will be reversed.


Here are two solutions:

1. Adjust the forward and reverse differential on the remote control.

2. Change the direction of the large gear inside the shaft cover.

This was a nice product more weight for the front. Steering links are not setup for stock servo, but you can use OE links and mount stock servo. The diff lockers you have to manually install. The tolerances are very very tight so if a bolt backs out 1 thread you will lose the diff lock and be a one wheel wonder. Open diffs are great but they are just that open diffs. Turning radius is very good compare to stock. I'm leaving 4 starts because of losing diff lock after 2 decent runs and having to take apart and realign/readjust the gear back onto the pins.I am updating after some heavy usage. Axles are great and perform extremely well with both from and rear diffs being locked. However this requires shims to be added inside the portals (that's where I shimmed on the outter portion of cover for potals to keep pressure toward the inner diff and not allow side to side play). Shims are very difficult to find I ended up making my own but after the shim I haven't had any of the gears back off and leave me with only one wheel spinning.

These were great beginning to end of my build- needed some great but overall a solid upgrade.
