BE CAREFUL..... Online and parts stores will often source a much smaller diameter seal for the 2007 Classic 2500 LT 4W Duramax 6.6. If they can find this correct size, there's usually a delayed delivery. I experienced this problem at multiple stores until I found this item.THIS IS THE CORRECT PART.... very heavy duty part for the larger drive shaft used to drive rear differential.Before removing the drive shaft, be sure to check for play (wear) in the front yoke spline to transfer case. If that internal bushing is worn you should consider dropping the transfer case and replacing the bushing. Otherwise, you'll beat out the new seal.Addt'l.....You also can't use a normal hook type seal puller to remove the old seal since the tail shaft bushing comes right up to the seal making it impossible to get behind the inner edge. I found that a small cold chisel and hammer being worked around the exposed outside lip of the seal is an easy way to remove it.
