Looks great on the instrument. Only used for a couple weeks - and seems to work pretty well.

This was a big improvement over the Hill-style adjuster that came on my instrument. It was easy to install. The larger adjuster head turns freely; much better than the one it replaced. I also appreciate that the lever is low down which means the E string touches the tail piece for better balance with the other strings and improved transmission of vibrations to the tail piece. Very happy with my purchase!

To be honest this is a great fine tuner for both of my violins. I heard some people say that these fine tuners would snap their strings very easily but I’ve been using it for months now and my Peter infield E string in great condition.

I went with this specific piece as my tail piece and chin rest are both made by Conrad Gotz. The gold plated finish matched the hardware of my chin rest and adds a bit of brightness to an otherwise dark violin.Outside of the look, I went with this fine tuner as I wanted something the brought my E string back over the tail piece rather then in front of it. It's beautiful and has done the job. My E before this was very loud, impossibly loud at times. Now there is a warmth and subtly to it that seems to enhance the quality of play, While I am happy with the outcome, I do miss some of what that loudness offered (just not the scream), I think I can get this back by navigating to a different brand string, so I'm off shopping for new strings.

The fine tuner so far is great! Mine came with a little rust, but it's not visible when put on, so I just kept it. It looks wonderful with the violin (the varnish color is golden brown), and gives my violin a shine when compared to a regular metal-colored fine tuner. You might ask, what's different between this fine tuner and a regular two-prong fine tuner? The two-prong fine tuners extend from the tailpiece, making the distance of the E string short. Those are also very scratch-prone since it may dig into the instrument which you would not want. This style of fine tuner, however, would make the response time a little bit faster. This Gotz fine tuner, on the other hand, attaches to the tailpiece, allowing the E string to stretch a bit more. This way, the string can apply more pressure into the bridge, making the sound "pop" by a significant margin. This fine tuner also allows the E string to make contact with the "fret" on the tailpiece, allowing the tailpiece to vibrate more! All in all, very happy with the fine tuner! I will recommend it to my friends!

I use one tuner...on my e string. As a player and teacher, I have encountered many types of fine tuners, some of which were a royal pain. This tuner is the best I have encountered.
