About this item

  • GOSEN created the hexagonal shaped co-polyester string from the G Tour 3, the main concept is getting a "Crisp hitting feel" & "Spin". G-Spin 3 high repulsion with ball biting, with hexagonal shaped strings creates superior spin performance. Normally, players feel stiff from textured string; however G-Spin 3 adopts a material that is the same as the G-Tour 3, so players can create good ball biting with spin.
  • Made in a hexagonal shape with HPP-Polyester in the middle coated with a silicone oil coating. The shape is vital in adding the extra spin that players need.
  • The hexagonal shape of the strings, is the strong point which greatly creates superior spin performance.
  • 【Length : 40ft / 12.2m】 【Gauge : 17 / 1.23mm】 【Crimson Red】
  • Gosen Corporation was established in 1951 and has been dedicated to the manufacture of synthetic fibres ever since. At a time when ''natural gut'' strings dominated the Japanese market, Gosen developed their first synthetic strings. Since then, the performance and quality of the strings have been recognized, and used throughout the world.Gosen have made it their mission to develop strings superior to natural ones in line with our motto: "Create products filled with originality"

It took me forever to finally use this string in my raquet. It has a good feel to it and has good touch for imparting spin. I strung it at 60 lbs. After multiple plays it's lasting without any burn in cuts. Happy with its play.

It’s a decent string. But it doesn’t increase the bite to aid your spin as advertised. I probably won’t purchase this variety again.

I purchased this string on tennis warehouse when they were having a mix 'n match special discount. I got about 8 packets and fell in love immediately. However, I've never broken a string EVER until my first time playing with this string 2 hours in. I thought it might have cinched the string on the stringer so I tried again. It broke twice on my GAMMA X-ST... I string at 56 and while the packet says it can handle that tension. I dont think it can.As for the performance review: durability is terrible for a full bed. I found a nice compromise with Golden Set Snake Bite for my crosses to add spin. I'm still stringing at 56 and it's been a month with constant clinics and matches. As for when it should be restrung, I'd say after a 15-20 hours of play time (for a 4.5 player).I find that these strings are not as spin friendly as RPM blast and are more of a power string. I get a lot more pop off of it then a regular bed of poly. Similar to the PolyTour strings.Save for the durability, this is an amazing string (especially the crimson color) and I would love to buy a reel but haven't been able to find a seller that carries them.

I have enjoyed playing with this GOSEN G-Spin 3. For a polyester string, I found it easier to string than most other polys and could tell that it would play on the softer side. Not that it matters, but the string has a beautiful, shiny red color that looks sharp in my racquet. I used the Gosen string in my mains and put a high-quality multifilament in the crosses. Although Gosen claims G-Spin 3 is textured for extra bit, I could not feel any texturing to the string. In any case, I'm still getting good action on the ball, but it hasn't amped up the revolutions per minute by any discernable difference. For a soft-playing polyester string, it still has good bite and plays a bit on the crisper side. It played a bit stiff the first 2.5 sets, but then softened up and was much more playable. Excellent durability, and still played well after 15 hours of hitting.

I'm a frequent string breaker and have tried lots of diff strings. I also restring them myself.Overall this string is not a particular stand-out to me. Pretty average across the board, but it is a bit softer. Holds tension at a typical rate, no drastic drop-off there. Considering it's called G-"Spin" the spin potential is it's main marketing point. Unfortunately here I didn't find anything special, not really any extra spin vs non-shaped string. There was one standout feature during stringing tho. It's coated with some type of lubricant that makes it really easy to feed the cross strings thru during stringing. But wouldn't recommend this string just on that account. Take a look at Pro's Pro Blackout or Isospeed Baseline Pro Spin. I find both those strings to be similarly soft and make more spin for a lot less.

I recently tried out the GOSEN G-Spin 3, 22' Good Ball Bite and Spin, Polyester Tennis String (17, Red) on my tennis racquet, and I have to say, I was impressed. As someone who values spin and control in my game, this string lived up to its reputation. The ball bite was excellent, and I found myself generating more spin on my shots than with my previous strings. The 17-gauge thickness provided a good balance between durability and playability, and the bright red color added a nice touch to my racquet. However, I did notice that the string was quite stiff initially, and it took some time to break in. Once it did, though, the performance was top-notch. I also want to mention that this string may not be the best option for players with arm or shoulder problems, as it can be quite unforgiving on impact.Overall, if you're a player like me who wants to improve their spin and control game, I would definitely recommend giving the GOSEN G-Spin 3, 22' Good Ball Bite and Spin, Polyester Tennis String (17, Red) a try.

This is the first time trying a spin-oriented string. It certainly seems to help.I'm also realizing I am at the point where I don't play competitively at all and not very frequently at that, so perhaps I am better off going back to power and/or durability being more comfortable priorities.Regardless, the only big gripe I have about these strings is the color being red. I like red in general and this shade is actually nice, but the only problem is that none of my rackets are in any color that goes well with red. Oh well.
