Amazon shipped several items in one large box and the staples were loose in the box. Several were broken up into small sections which causes jamming of the stapler. The staples that worked were excellent though.

Strong enough to shot through my aluminum trim with out bending no problem with wood either.

I purchased these for a fence I had to build. I hate pre drilling for screws. Takes way too long. And nails just come loose unless you are nailing green wood to green wood. Then the wood will shrink around the nail giving you a tight connection. Staples give you more points of contact with each fastener. Plus they are stainless steel, so they have not left any streaks of staining running down the fence boards. I build a fence almost 20 years ago, and after 15 years I had to take it down to expand my RV parking. I could not pull the fence boards away from the stringers that I had stapled them to. I had to take a hammer to get the boards off, and they just broke, leaving wood and the staples in the stringers. These staples will give you the best hold of your fence boards to your 2x4 stringers you can get.

Used the staples to attach shiplap cladding to my house. Worked perfectly and the 500 box very convenient with belt attachment.

These work great as staples, not good for anything else. did not test them with a magnet. they may be lying about their quality for corrosion resistance.. we will see Grip Rite, We will see...

Stainless steel is a must for exterior redwood. Galvanized will leave black streaks. I use these staples to quickly and temporarily hold fence boards in place until I can go back with a string line and install screws for a stronger, permanent hold.

The idea of a holster box seems like a good one - except that mine was shattered in shipping. At 4 cents a staple, a few shots was all I decided to make for this initial review. I loaded these 1 1/4" staples in my Porter-Cable stapler. I had a piece of 2-by-4 as a target to which I stapled a piece of 3/4" Advantech sub-flooring and a piece of laminate flooring. Perfect. I've shot thousands of 2" stainless staples primarily in attaching vinyl siding through insulation. Some projects need a shorter staple so I bought these for inventory so I have them when the need arises - not easy to find in smaller quantities. Here in Florida along the coast, there's no substitute for stainless - particularly when the wood you'll likely be using is ACQ pressure treated.
