The handgun safe is very poor quality. I set it and put a handgun in there. And the biometrics didn’t capture to be able to open it And I tried using the key and it just jammed so I had to break it open to be able to get my firearm out of it. Which it didn’t take much to break it open either was very easy to open

This safe is fantastic and I love the narrow footprint. All other safes out there are wide and would not fit in the narow closet in our RV van. This is the only one I could find at a reasonable price that would fit. It fit perfectly and we mounted it with no problems from the inside by drilling pilot holes into the cabinet and then hand-screwing from inside the safe since I drill would not fit inside. I also like how the door pops open top to bottom out of the way instead of to the side. My only complaint is that the finger-print reader did not keep my finger print saved days after the initial save. I am going to try again so I am not rating that at this time, but at least the code works perfectly.

Happy with my new safe! I wish the fingerprint scanner worked a little better but it could just be the way I am placing it on the reader. Over all I am very pleased with the construction of the safe as well as the programming of the code and fingerprint reader. Very easy to set up!

Fantastic biometric safe that opens quickly with multiple fingerprints as well as a numeric code. The 2 shelves make storage of handguns, magazines and other items easy. The light illuminates the upper shelf only. I secured the safe to my bookcase shelf with screws from the inside bottom of the unit. If someone wanted to remove it, they would need a crowbar to pry it loose from the shelf. The door opens easily without slamming down. This replaced a 10 year old previous poorly designed biometric safe of the same size and it is far superior. Perfect for an office where you want to store things securely with easy access if needed.

I can’t believe this was so affordable!For everything that it does, the quality of the safe and the peace of mind it allows. It’s just so well worth it. I’d have easily spent twice this and still been happy with it. The fingerprint scanner works better than my iPhone fingerprint scanner. Way better. It hasn’t given me an error yet. And you can set your own digital code and use a key! Only thing I didn’t like about it was how loud the beeping is. I’d like to remain silent in the event I need to grab my pistol in the middle of the night. But….it has a silent mode! So there truly isn’t one bad thing about this safe. If you’re thinking about getting one, do it! This is the one. You won’t regret it.Even e shipping was super fast. Even during Xmas season!

Another quality product from Moutec. This is the third safe I have bought from them and this one might be the best yet. I had some trouble inserting the removable shelf but I contacted support and they sent me a video within four hours of my inquiry which I was able to follow easily. The battery compartment is hidden at the top of the safe but the battery installation is straightforward. Setting the code and fingerprints went flawlessly and I already have it mounted to a shelf and am ready to go. Thanks to Alan and the Moutec team for the excellent support! Great safe!!

Received my new Moutec safe today and was able to open, install new batteries and code to include setting up biometrics with little difficulty (approximately 5 mins) Additional pro’s and cons as follows:Pros: The size of the compartment is awesome. Able to store multiple weapons and a good amount of ammo with room to spare. The fingerprint biometric is very accurate and outstanding. Foam padding provided provides excellent protection for contents. The safe is surprisingly very light weight making it easy to maneuver if required. If added security is desired, the safe allows programming up to eight digits.Cons: The safe walls could possibly be a little thicker and overall construction a little more sturdy. This could possibly be my individual bias as I compare to my other gun safe.If looking for a safe that is light weight yet will securely store weapons and ammo with ease of access to an individual owners, this is the one to buy.
