The variety of tunes was exactly what I was hoping. The song difficulty varied, which is nice, some are easy some are a bit of a challenge.

Great variety of songs by various artists, and a few different key signatures. I do wish the songs were a little more challenging to play (for reference: I'm an adult flute player who played for years in school, but have not had any formal training or lessons in 25 years).Most of the songs I could play pretty well on the first run through, & I'm not the best at sight reading. I definitely would buy other songbooks by this publisher. It's definitely worth purchasing this book if you are looking for songs to play for yourself or family.

It is mostly songs of lyrics simply written as one note form to be played on a flute, I wouldn't exactly call it flute songs, but I suppose is decent for beginners to practice

Yes, yes I do! I am not an avid musician who practices 3 hours a day, or every day for that matter, but I do love to play and I like that with Hal Leonard music books I can play well known songs, and feel great about myself, and all this because the music is easy to play. If you are a beginner and are tired of playing only music that is 10 bars long, these books are for you. I have also purchased the Hal Leonard Big Book of Christmas songs, and love it as well.

I got this for my son, who started playing the flute this year. He loves it. The songs are easy to follow, yet challenging. The variety of the music is really good. There is a lot of up to date music, as well as some old standards. A great boo for the bigginer as well and the advanced.

I was looking for flute music for my granddaughter - mainly pretty songs that fit the flute. This is a good collection. Some are good basic standards. Some are more contemporary. All are well-suited to the flute. I don't play flute but I could read and play these on my soprano sax. I think they offer a break from some of the mundane songs kids get in the school band.

GExcellent book for a beginner or really not that good of a flute player. A very good purchase for an old man learning to play an instrument.
