You get what you pay for. These had sharp edges. One of the screws fell out of the wooden piece so now it’s not usable. I unfortunately just needed these quick and they could arrive soon. I would not purchase again.

Like the size and shape of these platforms, but they’re not well made. The threaded rods that stick out the back to be put through the cage bars are not straight by a long shot, they’re very short, thin, and some were drilled and inserted so close to the top or bottom surfaces that there is a worry that they might break off over time. Because the threaded rods are at such different angles it’s hard to get the shelves to sit flat. The washers are too tiny to span 2 bars of a Critter Nation cage, so they’re going to have to be replaced. To be fair we did get them for our rats and they’re meant to be for a bird cage that would have smaller bars placed closer together.Update - the threaded rods in the back of one of the shelves are spinning in their holes making it impossible to unscrew the nuts. Finally got it off the cage and jury rigged a different way to attach it by adding a narrow piece of wood to the bottom edge of the shelf. I drilled holes in it and inserted 1/4” bolts to stick out for attachment to the cage bars. Worked like a charm, and the shelf is much more secure than the others.

The wooden stands are a perfect size for little pets such as the rat I’m fostering. The little guy used the stands to eat treats from, another place to rest or climb. The stands are thick enough to sand off any stains from food, etc. Easy to change to different positions and hold in place. Would also be a great size for birds or hamsters.

The washers that hold it into place are tiny and fit between the bars of my cage so I had to spend a few extra bucks at the hardware store for large washers(won't be an issue for everyone). The screws that mount the nut and washers are both angled(not drilled straight) and loose. They are not glued or anything so tightening the washers pulls the screws out of the wood. It's just a piece of wood with a screw in it. I wasn't expecting much and still the quality is terrible...

Most of these shelves don’t come with double washers. These were perfect!

My birds love these they rest on them and they chew corners at times it good for their beaks I have few older birds it very good for them to it rests their feet so they can lay down instead of staying perched

I wish they made a bit smaller ones. Even in my big Prevue cage these take up too much space to use as stairs, etc. They're not great for hammy sitting but also not good just for climbing due to the awkward size. They're perfectly well made, though.
