To install, you’ll need some basic tools:
- Needle nose pliers (recommended - but any type of pliers will do)
- Hammer
- Drill bit (same width as the pin you're going to install)
- Power drill
How to Install:
- Drill a hole the same width as the pin.
- Hammer the nails in on the face plate.
- Assemble your piece of hardware and insert in the hole.
- Using the needle nose pliers, bend the tip of the pin over so that it's pointing towards the wood.
- Making sure that the display side of the piece is pulled tight, nail the end of the pin into the wood.
- Nail the pin flat.
- Insert the key pin.

My husband built his two nieces a hope chest for high school graduation present. So for the two nephews, he built them a Chinese tea cabinet for their precious possessions. This is the hardware for one of those cabinets

It looks really good on, the installation its fairly easy but its also easy to put it a little wonky so you have to put it carefully. Had one missing piece (one of the circles) and if you install it too close side to side without a gap the big circle thingys wont fit. But the design and finishing of the plate make up for it lol

The design is really cool. I like the way it is colored and finished and would recommend to someone looking for a closure with an Asian touch.. I plan to put it on a round wooden backing for hanging on the wall because I like the design so much.

Exactly what I was excepting.Some instructions would be nice as I wasn’t certain on how to attach it, if the hole should be marked and then drilled or if it was best to mount the plate and then drill hole.

Very nice quality and simple installation. Just ensure your project plans incorporate a channel for the backs of cotter pin like connectors when assembled and spread.
