I crossed this number to hawk for a 99 Ram 2500. Pads I received appear to be for a gas truck or something else light duty. Will not the common Dodge and chevy pad size. Boo for no applications given in description. Waste of time.

I did a compete brake job on my 98 K1500 including those pads. These definitely bite harder on the rotor.I also upgraded to the NBS brake master cylinder which helps massively with the pedal feel.If you’re having brake power issues, check your slide pins, mine were completely frozen. I’m sure replacing and lubricating those helped massively as well.

1999 Astro's are under braked for towing. It is a well known issue with them. I bought the van used but with brand new brakes The first long trip I took with a trailer with almost new electric brakes the front rotors overheated and were ruined. On inspection the pads were brand new, I knew I had a problem.Did a bunch of research online changed to these pads and new Delco rotors. After bedding the pads, it felt like I had bigger disks under the front. I had noticeably greater braking power and no problems with overheated disks. I was very impressed since I typically tow on grades that vary between 6% and 10% according to the signs. I do down shift to take some of the load off the brakes as you have to when grades are that steep.Fast forward 5-6 years. Pads are looking 40-50%.I decide to be proactive and not risk being 1500 miles from home needing pads as well as rotors.I pay to have them changed out by a professional mechanic for a pad advertised as for heavy towing made by Power Stop, since these pads are no longer sold by Rock Auto where I was ordering parts for the Van at the time. After properly breaking in the new pads I realized that I had lost a considerable braking power. Not good. Within 1000 miles the rotors overheated on grades to the point that they feel severely warped. Several 8 and some 10% degree grads didn't help. Vehicle was no longer drive-able. I was disappointed to say the least.I then bought new rotors, again ( Raybestos heavy duties this time though the delcos were fine ) and these pads. Got them put on. Broke them in and got a noticeable improvement in stopping power and no rotor overheating on long steep grades. On my Astro these expensive pads have turned out to be extremely economical. When you count the time I have wasted and additional parts I had to buy they are almost free. They seem to be the only option for the type of driving we are doing with this Van presently. And no I am not a shill for this brake pad manufacture or seller. These pads do solve a known problem for Astro owners who tow with their vans.If you tow with an Astro and or live in the mountains I recommend you give these a try. Remember to break them in as suggested in any auto repair manual. 30 stops from 35 mph, being sure to allow enough time between stops to insure that you don't overheat the rotor.

I put these on my 98 Tahoe LS 4x4It’s hard to tell the before after because my main problem turned out to be my brake boosterNow that that’s fixed, I can stop pretty confidently with these padsThey bite pretty well and pretty quick

They are amazing! Maybe because they were new, they leave a layer of brake residue on the rims

Fantastic upgrade for the notoriously bad brakes on my 97 Ram 1500. Hawk says that these shouldn't be used on a daily driver, but unless they are grabby on a vehicle with sufficient brakes from the factory, I don't see why. They are quiet, they don't dust excessively, and they work very well. I've always been pleased with Hawk brake pads and these are no exception.

This is the second set of Hawk Performance SuperDuty pads on our Suburban. The braking ability of this pads are significantly better and they have lasted longer than anything I have used previously. They stop the Suburban confidently, which was not always the case before. The first set I had were at times a bit noisy, but not in a bothersome way. This second set has been very quiet. The brake dust is not excessive. These are great pads. I use them on cyrotreated rotors, and am very pleased with this combination.
