I know Hawk brake pads, have used them in at least 4 of my cars in the past and know they perform extremely good and have no complains about how this set perform but the noise they make is intolerable, I mean, its impossible to drive the car with someone whit out explaining the difference between street cheap pads and performance ones and why they make the noise. They should be labeled as "Race use only".Another negative issue is pads come with no wear sensor. A4 use a wear sensor and you have to bypass it in order to get no dash lights on or ecu errors. Not sure if will keep them, the noise is incredible annoying for daily use.

They are excellent!!They bite. Only 4 stars because they can be noisy (I knew that and really don't care (if you want aggressive pads, you can't expect silent ones). If you care about that, you have the right to know.

Great pads, remember to follow break in procedures, its gonna smell funny the first bit, but it will dissipate eventually.

my second set of hawk hps for my 2008 r32, this time I matched up with stoptech slotted rotors and this makes for a great way to keep daily driver performance and low dust

First of all this product does not include the correct connector type for the MKV R32, Although the pads are the correct size, the wear censor is no longer functional. The Actual performance isn't much improved over my worn pads i had on. This review may be early as i had these installed with new Slotted/Dotted Rotors just a week ago, and as so i will keep it short. So far i am not that impressed given the price for these. The braking has decent grip, and work quite well at cruising speed(-50mph), but anything over that i notice that the pads are rather soft and delicate anything under 90% braking pressure. If i didn't have ABS i wouldn't be so worried about it, but considering ABS starts to kick in around the 95% brake pressure zone i loose overall decelaration as soon as i need to brake hard. Luckily i have good understanding of my cars braking functions, but if i were a unskilled driver that likes to drive fast and tended to panic brake this could lead to problems.Overall i can't say whether or not these pads are the best for a sports car, they are extremely quiet and have soft and smooth feedback anything under 80-90% pedal pressure. Maybe i am over examining things as i have yet to go through different types of pads and compounds, but as a spirited driver and car enthusiast i do know what traits to look for, and these pads simply have not fit the description of a performance brake pad for me.I also noticed that these pads also have a lot of metallic material so its not a true ceramic pad, when i dust off my brake calipers and rotors i notice a large amount metallic dust, more than what i use to see with my older pads. I can't tell if this is good or bad, but sense its described as a Ceramic pad i don't believe that is a genuine description.

My wifes A4 had stock pads that turned her front wheels black in a day or two after a wash. These are still not ultra low dust but much batter than stock and they stop better than stock by far.

I bought these for my 2006 Audi A6, hoping to improve braking. After just few trips I knew that they were not what I expected.I was expecting that hard stopping power I felt on my previous brake pads, Reybestos. These are completely different brake pads, very soft and I would not recommend for hard driving. Although I should say that they will last you much longer than Reybestos, and it emits very little dust which is another plus. If you're not an aggressive driver than I would definitely recommend them, otherwise you need to try something different.

Got these instead of the HPS this time. I think the HPS may be just a tad better performance wise. But these will do fine and I don't have to clean my wheels near as much.
