Replace remote control batteries
Check battery terminals
Remote is out of range, move closer to the device
Remove any obstructions between remote and IR sensor of the device
Make sure the power cord to your device is plugged in and turned on

Unfortunately I had the same experience as the previous review. After trying three different batteries, it didn't work.

I tried 2 different new batteries- the device indicator light did not light up when button is pressed for “on”. Does not work. Returning.
