I got this to be able to connect my gaming systems and my cable TV to a projector in my media room. It was very easy to install since it has a small foot print. I do like that it comes with a remote and also like that there is a manual switch button on the box itself since my kids like to loose remotes. The picture quality is great. I don't see any lags in my gaming and the color is really nice. There are many switch versions from this MFG, I got the 3 to 1. I know they have a 4 to 1, 5 to 1, and a 4 to 1 at 60 Hz. I didn't need the 60 Hz at the moment, but if I do need it in the future, I will be sure to look at this company as it offers a great product value for the price. I would get this again.

The Avedio HDMI switch has 3 HDMI input ports and one HDMI output port, these are all located at the rear of the plastic case, together with a USB-C power input port. At the front of the unit are 5 LEDs, one for the HDMI output, one for power and 3 of which are numbered to indicate which HDMI port is active. There is also an infra red sensor and a manual HDMI port selection button on the front panel.I am currently using this with 3 HDMI sources, all of which have a resolution of 1080p@60Hz. I was able to select the required source device using either the front panel button or the remote control. I also didn't need to supply power to the switch using the supplied USB-C lead, since it was able to draw power from the HDMI sources.I didn't notice any issues with picture quality or sound at the resolutions that I was using.The only issue that I did experience was that it didn't appear to switch automatically, i.e. when I powered on a new device from standby, it did not switch to that device, I had to use the remote or the front panel button to accomplish that. I tried this with and without the USB-C power lead plugged in. Of course, some HDMI devices can supply power even when they are in standby mode and this can upset automatic HDMI switches that rely on detecting a device powering up. This turned out to be the case for me.When I removed the HDMI lead from that same HDMI source, powered on that source and then plugged the lead back in, the HDMI switch box automatically changed to that source. However, when I powered the same source down, with the lead still plugged in, the HDMI switch automatically switched to another input. In other words, it didn't detect the source changing from standby to power up, but it did detect it going back into standby mode.This is why I prefer HDMI switch boxes with a remote control!This is a unidirectional device only, it switches one of 3 inputs to one output.The price of just under £10, at the time of this review, is quite reasonable for a HDMI switcher that has a remote, although you have to provide the 2AAA batteries for the remote yourself.I like the fact that it was supplied with 4 (+1 spare) stick on adhesive feet that will prevent it sliding around on smooth surfaces.

This is a reliable HDMI switch, I found. I've used it for a month now without any issues, which is a first for me. I've never once had to use the remote, it switches (between my Roku, Blu Ray player and Freeview box) automatically, providing I leave them off until I need them. (I simply press "Home" on the Roku to give it focus if it's not already selected). Finally, I've not had any problems with the TV volume buttons on my TV remote annoyingly switching between HDMI inputs, as I've frequently had with switches in the past. For that reason, alone, this is a godsend!

It does exactly what it is meant to do. I bought this to use it at my work and found it simple and easy to set up and use. The transition time between the different HDMI sources is reasonably quick. The remote is an added convenience if you need. I have been mainly using the button and it has been smooth sailing for over a month now. Overall, really happy with this item.

This is a great addition to my TV! I wanted to use this to be able to go between my computer, switch, and Chromecast. It's really easy to switch between all of them and it kind of helps with organizing all the wires. I do wish the actual box itself felt more substantial because it feels as though if anything fell on it then it would break but for the price this is still pretty good.

Only recently I got myself an HDMI switcher which works well, but I bemoaned the fact that I had to reach behind the telly to swap devices over.Then I saw this - the perfect answer. No setting up to speak of - plug your cables in the back and a USB-C for power (cable only provided no psu) and place it somewhere unobtrusive where the remote can see the sensor on the front.Press the button either on the remote or the one on the switcher itself to change sources (it should work the other way round too - from single source to multiple monitors, but I haven't tried that) and away you go.No disadvantages to speak of - the LEDs on the front are pretty dim so it can be hard to tell which source is active, and it does need power, so you need another socket. But these are trivial - it solves the problem of either an ugly visual setup, or reaching awkwardly round the back of the system, and I'm happy about that.Final points - the remote takes 2xAAA batteries, and it even comes with four little sticky rubber feet so you don't need to worry about scratching anything you put it on.
