Front camera setting method summary
• Automatic entry and exit of the front view: When starting and moving forward in Drive (D) gear, the front view will be automatically activated when the speed is below 20 Km/h, and will be automatically deactivated when the speed exceeds 20 Km/h. (You can manually deactivate it by pushing the right wheel to the left.)
• Manual entry of the front view: Press and hold the right scroll wheel down for 3 seconds to manually activate the front view.
• Restarting the device: Press and hold the left scroll wheel while pushing it to the left for 3 seconds to restart the device.
Precautions: The prerequisite for the front view to be triggered is that the front view switch on the settings page must be in the on state.

This head-up display significantly enhances the driving experience in my Tesla.The integration with Carplay and Android Auto is seamless, providing easy access to navigation and music.Displaying vital information like speed and battery percentage directly in my line of sight is a huge plus.Installation was straightforward, and the design doesn't obstruct the AC vent at all, maintaining a clean aesthetic.

Works great, I was able to connect my phone via Apple car play and everything works smoothly. It shows accurate battery life and the speedometer is useful to see right in front of me. Installation took me about 3 hours, it was a little difficult but not too bad. It’s definitely easier if you have the AMD Ryzen chip vs my intel chip. Overall I would recommend!

My transition to a Tesla car made me realize how I missed having the needed information in front of me without having to constantly glance to the side. This display does just that and so much more. First off installation is simple enough if you have worked on a car before. The display is very bright and crisp and has so many functionalities that I am still learning. For the most basic things I need such as time, speed, navigation it just works out the box. I love having Apple Carplay back and my spouse with Android Auto is happy too. Overall if you are a Tesla owner that is somewhat handy I would highly recommend installing this in your car.

Works great with my 2019 Model 3 (with Intel unit). I thought it would just be mirroring a section of the main screen, but apparently what it's tapping is the CAN bus where the car actually sends quite a bit of vehicle data between the display controller and the vehicle controller. Best feature for me is that you get blind spot indicators all the time, followed by Android Auto/Apple Carplay support as a close second. The screen is a good size viewing through the top opening of the steering wheel, and only obscures part of the dash, it doesn't block any view outside at all. It does block air from going directly towards your face through the steering wheel (diverting it up and creating a cold/hot spot on the windshield), but personally I don't like the center air stream anyway.Installation did take a couple of hours, although I wouldn't say it was overly hard and definitely doable DIY. The most time consuming part was that the instructions for which holes to insert the mount into weren't accurate for my vents. I needed to put the center (yellow connector) into the 30th through hole (count from the bottom to be sure you're only counting holes which pass air through) counting from the left side. You can see the general area the mount needs to be in as there's a cutout for the steering wheel, but there're no features on the bottom perfectly lined up to easily see which is the center hole, so that took some trial and error. Note that you need a #1 Phillips head driver for the screws which secure the bottom plate to the mount, and I wish they included a few spare screws just in case as they're pretty small and easy to lose. I did not install the front camera yet, as that requires an even more involved cable routing effort through the firewall, but the display unit is working so well that I think I will go back and put the camera in too.The screen works well with good resolution, brightness, and no lag. Serves as a great instrument panel to compliment the main screen especially if you have your right hand on the 2 o'clock position most of the time which makes your hand block a large portion of the instrumentation on the main screen. You'll want to get it wifi connectivity somehow so it can update, as I noticed some additional options in the settings after it was able to do a software update.
