I used this tool to install several interior doors in my home, and it definitely made the process easier compared to wrestling with shims alone. The heavy-duty construction feels sturdy, and the adjustable design worked well for doors. I appreciated how it helped keep the door plumb while I secured the hinges—no more frustrating slips mid-installation! That said, I did notice it’s a bit bulky for tighter spaces, and the setting felt less secure than the smaller sizes. While it’s not perfect for every scenario, it’s still a worthwhile addition to my toolkit for standard door installations.

Very heavy duty and very adjustable. Excellent If you need to install doors by yourself. I've been thinking about making my own for months now, so finding this was a very exciting moment for me! It makes the job so, SOOO much easier! I no longer dread hanging doors, which I think says a lot

Nice sturdy door installation tool, works well, good quality, perhaps a little pricey for what you get but great for installing doors.

I've installed a lot of doors in the past and anyone who's installed one by themselves knows what a hassle it is to get it lined up perfectly when putting the door back on. The best solution I had come up with is using airbags. Those simple hand pump style ones but even that's not perfect, it just helps. The other option is to make a jig out of wood but then you have to store that somewhere and unless you install doors regularly, you're probably not going to make some just for one or two doors. These little casters are made out of a nice, heavy metal and the wheels are solid and roll easily but set up is a little annoying. There's a set of holes where two pins go through and they screw onto the metal, rubber-covered plate, it's what presses against the door. Those secure onto the pins with screws but you don't have access to the screw head unless you remove the rubber which is secured with for hex nuts. Threading the pin on took using an s-shaped screw driver. One thing they could've done is just punched out two holes in the rubber, giving you access to the screw heads. Once that was done, it worked great! It clamps nicely to the door, and then there's another turning knob for the height. I was able to remove the door and it stood upright, no fear of falling or no pinching fingers. I re-stained it and when I went to put it back I just placed it back onto the casters knowing they were set to the right height and it made wheeling the back easy. This is definitely a must have if you're an individual doing handy work, or carpentry and you install or remove doors.

I have another one of these and I love these things. They make installing a door by yourself a possibility. This one is way better than my other one. The other one had round clamps so it would dig into doors. This one has square big clamps that won’t damage the door and it’s got guides to make it more stable. It also has padding where the doors touch so it won’t scratch. And it also has a reinforced bottom where my other one buckled, this one is ice and string and holds steady. I won’t install a door without these. They save so much work, time and pain!

These are much larger and stronger than I thought they'd be. You can easily spend twice as much and get less of a product. These are able to hold a lot of weight and a lot of pressure. I gave it a few good wrenchings and it didn't budge, even on carpet. It holds steady although some sort of leveling device built in would have been a nice touch even if it's something that wouldn't be useful every time.
