This heavy-duty Beam Clamp is a versatile and reliable tool. I use it at my marina space attached to an I-Beam. The beam is there to winch boats out of the water. I lift my Hoby Cat catamaran out of the water and securely attach it to the beam using this clamp. My catamaran weighs about 3300 lbs, and this clamp holds it steady as a rock.This clamp is bigger than I anticipated. Be sure you can lift it before you order it. It has a 6600 lb capacity and a jaw opening range of 3.1 to 12.7 inches. It is smoothly finished with no rough or sharp edges. The vise-like clamping mechanism moves smoothly, and the clamp has no wobble or 'play' due to high-quality machining. The clamp's finish is durable, making it resistant to rust and corrosion.

Honestly, Idk why i expected a smaller clamp, but this one is rather large.This should work for any sort of beam that you have, we have an A frame cradle we've used this one with a plug in lift hoist.We've used it on overhead structural beams that we need to lift items on to other things when a skid loader or other equipment is unavailable.The clamp has been great so far, holds tight, have plenty of gripping surface.The lower attachment point has a concave surface so any hook or clevis self centers.

We are just finishing the new barn in which will be hang this beast at and I cannot wait to be the first one to swing on it when the I-beam is installed. I know the next time we have to move something monumentally heavy from one end of the barn to the other this baby is going to be the cats' pajamas.

Nice clamp. Build quality is good. I tried it by hoisting around 500 pounds. It didn't even phase this clamp. With these types of clamps, i prefer to keep the weight at about 50% of the rated load, just to be on the safe side. At 6,600 pounds, this clamp give plenty of lifting capability.

First, I didn't even know these things existed. They were so many times that my husband had needed to hoist heavy things and we should've used something like this. But, you know how it is when you think you only need to hoist something heavy once but end up needing something like this more often. One I saw this I got it, knowing that hubby will need it again. However, I admit my judgement was off because when it arrived, it was enormous, solid, and very heavy. I thought it would be much smaller. We had a good laugh and we're thankful to have the clamp. It will most definitely come in handy!
