This kit includes a PRSM Shock Mount is a flexible support system that helps suppress low-frequency rumble on the microphone line by absorbing and damping vibrations picked up from the studio desk or console. I got the setup, the boom arm is able to hold the weight of the microphone, and the shock mount, and with Heil, you already know it's great! The mic, and shock mount are the greatest, I barely mentioned the forgot the XLR cable, and told them not to sweat it, it was in the mail, and on its way, then they sent me an email to let me know, I can't wait to do more business with them!

Great value and outstanding customer support. I notified Amazon that the extra XLR cable was missing from the package and that it wasn’t a big deal. However within a matter of hours I heard back from the company and the missing XLR cable was on its way via FedEx. Would definitely buy from this company again.

I now own this product and after heavily contrasting it to the more popular Shure SMB7 I can confidently say that the Heil PR-40 out preforms the Shure SMB7 in rooms and environments that are not fully sound treated. However the only statement I have to anyone considering buying this microphone is that if you are considered purchasing this microphone you will need to buy a pop filter as well as an audio interface. If you are not considering getting an Audio Interface please understand that you will not be able to receive the full quality of this microphone and your microphone input will be harder to hear without it. Supported Pop Filters include the REPOP-320 (comes in black) as well as the REPOP-27. And I highly recommend the Scarlet Solo for the Audio Interface, it is incredibly easy to set-up and use!
