This kit does not include the anti-wobble device. I paid the extra money for the upgrade to get the nicer kit, but they sent the older version that I could have bought for much cheaper. There's a reason the price is discounted by $30 (I paid more) ... It's not the product represented!Unfortunately I need to use it immediately and I can't return it.Wobble, Wobble

Does exactly what it advertises. It's sturdy and helps me get my 220lbs up and down from the bed of my truck.

Great idea. Seems Sturdy. Unfortunately, it won't work on my 2021 Colorado because when you go to push it in to stow the step, the tube hits the spare tire and won't go in. Bummer!

Don’t Buy!! In a little over a year, the unit will rust but the worst part is the bolt will rust, and when you back it out the internal anti-vibration nut will spin inside of the tube making it impossible to remove in one piece. The rust on the bolt forces the nut to spin and strip the plastic housing inside the tube. Why would they use materials that will rust when the purpose of the unit is for outside use?To remove I used a metal cutting carbide blade on a sawzall, and cut the tube as close to the hitch. Next, if you are lucky and could back the bolt out a little you cut the head off the bolt. Next, use a propane torch to melt the plastic insert holding the vibration nut. Once this is melted you can slide the bolt as far over to exposing more of the end of the bolt you did not cut. I used a long screwdriver I stuck inside the tube to press on the bolt end I cut, to force as much as I could out on the other side. Now cut that as flush as possible to the side of the hitch. Next, reach in and slide the bolt to the center of the tube to clear the ends from the hitch wall and you should be able to remove the remains of this cheap step that at best I used 6 times.Good Luck if you already own this on your truck.

I have not had the step for too long but it works very good for getting in and out the bed on my 2017 Ram. I did not end up using the anti wobble device as it appears to be for a more permanent installation that would interfere with a quick change back to the actual trailer hitch. The instructions for the anti wobble device are not very good at all. Very confusing. I don't seem to have any issues with wobbling or rattling without using it. I would recommend this product.

It is easy to install but less easy to use. Anyway is cheap compared to a rear OEM step side however does not look nice and what was delivered to me came incomplete.

Fantastic. Easy to get into the truck bed. Protects the rear bumper from rear end collisions.

I installed it on my 2018 f150 supercrew 5.5ft bed. It works well except the length of extendable is kind of misleading in the picture. The so call extendable up to around 24" is measured from the outside edge of the step to the hitch rather than from the extendable bar as what the pic show. So when u drop your tailgate, the step is only couple inches farther out and your foot can just reach it for stepping up to your bed. Definitely, not the ideal situation. I further research the XL size, it seems the step size is bigger and the extendable bar is longer but sorry you have to pay extra $100 just for that a few inches out. I believe the manufacturer make this on purpose so you have to pay extra $100 to get a right foot on the step. Too bad, otherwise, it should have been a great product for truck owner who does not manufacturer original tailgate step. Now I need to think about return it or spend the extra $100 or not!!!Just like to update for my recent contact with the manufacturer, the customer service the 23.5 inches advertised in their description is actually measured from" the the first pin hole to the outside edge of the platform when laid down flat ". There are nowhere mentioned as details as this from their product specification. If you think the step can be pulled out from the hitch receiver for 23.5 inches, you are totally wrong. It is able to be pulled out for around 12.5 inches. The stop depth is about another 5 inches, so the outside edge of the step to the hitch receiver is around 18"rather than 23.5". The difference between 23.5" and 18" are inside the bed and deep inside the hitch receiver. If your expect the whole step can be extended outside your laid tailgate, you will be very upset unless your tailgate is really short. I already advise the manufacturer to review and correct their wording to clarify and provide enough information for customer to make decision.

I got this hitch step to help my 4’11” wife, who has severe scoliosis, get up into the bed of my 2018 Ram 1500 pickup if necessary, or for me if I had both hands full. It comes out just far enough on the outside setting (easily on the inside one) to do its job like it was made for this truck. It is very well made, rugged, and fully assembled, so you just slide it in. I also got the anti-wobble device and immediately discovered that if I used it, it meant not using the regular hitch pin OR the locking assembly as it bolts on with a large bolt and nut. Since I did want to use the lock I put that on instead but then found there was a huge amount of play in it when used as a locking hitch pin because there was way too much thread on the lock bolt for a two inch receiver. No problem, I just took the huge square nut from the anti-wobble device and threaded that all the way onto the bolt with the bolt’s locking washer between them (it’ll work on either side, but will strip paint off the hitch shaft mount if you put the bolt on before the lock washer as was apparently intended because there’s way too much room on the bolt to lock it tightly). That left just about exactly the right amount of play to snug the lock up against the receiver on the other side and still easily lock. It’s not tight, so there’s a tiny amount of play which will protect the lock from vibration and it still does a very good job of keeping the shaft of the hitch mount from wobbling. At least this appears to work for me in my truck. I expect to get as many years of use out of this as I do the truck, and I expect that to last a very long time.
