El compás se lo he comprado para mi hijo que está estudiando 3º ESO, se lo recomendó su profesor de clases particulares para la asignatura Dibujo Técnico, está encantado, porque es muy fácil de manejar.

I recently returned to classroom maths after three decades away (I’m retraining as a maths teacher) and one of the many changes I’ve seen is in the quality of drawing instruments. They’re now horrifyingly poor!Back in the day, it was a given that even a standard classroom compass would hold its angle (as it’s supposed to!) for at least a few attempts. These days, if you can make it though just one attempt without slippage, you’re doing well! I regularly have to go round geometry classes now with a screwdriver to tighten compasses up during lessons, sometimes repeatedly! In the hope of finding something better for my own use, I bought this model and though it’s better than the ones that come in tins as part of a set, it’s not great. Certainly it’s by no stretch of the imagination a ‘technical’ compass, it’s just not up to that standard (as you would expect for £8). At this point, I should note that I know what a technical compass is supposed to be like as my father was an engineering draftsman (he helped draw up the Lancaster bomber amongst others). If he’d been using this item I doubt they’d have made it to Dover!Best of a bad bunch is really all one can say about it. It’s functional for the absolute basics but beyond that I wouldn’t rely on it.

Works pretty well. Needed it for a math class. Only way it would be better is if it came with instructions on how to replace the lead and stuff.

Very good compass set bought for son's GCSE's. Much better than the poor quality varieties that hold a standard pencil and not that much different in price.
