I was looking for a simple spare Arca plate to keep in my car in case for some reason I grab my tripod and forget the plate. My ball head uses the standard Arca plates and this one fits the head great. I like that there is the option of the simple finger screw which gets it tight enough for general use as well as the slot to use a quarter to get the plate a little tighter.The only downside that I have is that the silicone grippy pads are a little thick and allow my camera to wiggle a little bit on the plate, even when it it tightened down a lot. Its not that big of a deal because this is a spare but if you are working on really accurate stuff like long exposures it may cause you issues.I tried this on my Manfroto head and it does not fit (based on the photos I did not expect it to). This was a Manfroto trigger style head and it looks like in the photo it is being used on a heavy duty cinema head so maybe it will work on different models. Just thought I'd point it out in case you were counting on it fitting something other than a standard Arca.

Hinweise zu „Updates“ und meiner Produktauswahl finden sich unten im Disclaimer.———————————————————Die Schnellwechselplatte nutze ich an einer Kamera zusammen mit einer verstellbaren Schnellwechselgrundplatte die ich ebenfalls für einen Test bestellt hatte. Beide Schwalbenschwanzprofile zusammen ergeben eine exakt passende Einheit. Die Hersmay Platte hat ein 1/4“ Gewinde zur Befestigung an der Kamera. Das gelingt dank Bügelschraube werkzeuglos per Hand oder einer 1 - 20 Cent Münze. Darüberhinaus garantieren zwei eingelassene Gummiauflagen eine spielfreie Verbindung zum Kameragehäuse. Das schwarz eloxierte Aluminium ist sorgfältig verarbeitet, die eingesetzte 1/4“ Schraube kann an einer mit einem Gewinde versehenen Ende der Platte ausgewechselt werden, was einen nachhaltigen Einsatz ermöglicht. The Hersmay Arca Swiss Quick Release Plate arrived neatly packed in a plain cardboard box.The plate is suitable for use in any tripod or mount using the standard Arc Swiss format.Nicely finished and machined with no rough edges and finished in a nice metal grey coating.Threaded part is well cut and shows no sign of any slop in a standard 1/4" female socket.

Ce support au format Arca Swiss s'adapte parfaitement sur mon trépied et permet de monter et démonter rapidement mon appareil photo.le support est tout métal, très solide et bien fait.Il maintien parfaitement l'appareil en place.

Design looks close enough; however, the lever that secure the plate in the lower baseplate of the gimbal cannot close all the way, so it sticks out halfway… a bump against the lever could loosen, which wouldn’t be be the worst thing of the safety latch functions correctly with this plate. Unfortunately, it does not function - the design of this quick release plate, while very similar to the original, is not the same and using it could mean your camera ends up on the ground. Will be returning this product
