I tend to get a bit cold diving and wanted an extra layer for my core, and something I could use for late season kayaking and paddleboarding. I am not a skinny little thing (or long) and find wetsuits for my size are always too long. So, I decided to give this top a try. It says it is 2mil, but to me if feels more like 3mil. It is definitely warm.I got the size 14 based on the sizing guide and it fits. It is a bit tight in the arm, but once wet there isn't a problem. For reference, I am 5'4" (borderline petite), wear a size 10/12 usually, or size Medium US size, weigh 175-lbs give or take a few, have a 36C chest and size 32-34" waist. The zipper is decent, but it lacks a stop to keep it from sliding down. I am probably going to sew on a bit of velcro to help lock it in place, but it does stay put most of the time. The torso is longer than I need, but better than having baggy wetsuits full of air between the thighs which is my usual predicament. I would not say it is attractive (maybe if I was skinny and 20 years younger it might be) but it is functional and a fraction of the price of some brands. I m giving it a 5-star rating because it is good quality for the price even though I do wish they had taken a zipper lock into account.

I ordered the Hevto Wetsuit Top Women 2mm Neoprene Jacket Wet Suit Short Sleeve Surfing Diving Swimming for Water Sports. According to the size chart, I should have ordered a size 4, but because I tend to need the smallest size possible in a women's because of my dimensions, I went with a 2. That was definitely a mistake, and I did this with their long sleeve version because it's incredibly tight. It's so tight, in fact, it pulls my hunched over shoulders right back which may be a good thing, but it obviously is not that comfortable nor can I wear something underneath it. Since I didn't order the size it told me to. I can't really say how that would fit on me, but I'm almost wondering if a size bigger would be fine too so it's possible it runs small. For scale, I am 5'4", have very broad shoulders, 34A cup, very long torso, 25-in waist, 31 in hips, and I weigh about 108. I'm just used to being disappointed when I order according to the size chart and things are normally too big, but that was definitely not the case with this. However, I can still wear this it just will be not as comfortable as I would like which is fine. It's a good quality wetsuit, and it is very thick, obviously. The zipper is thick, heavy duty, and slides easily. It's long enough for my long torso which is nice. Because I ordered the same size that was too small in the long sleeve one. I have them both to compare, and I would say this one is more comfortable than that one for accidentally ordering something too small. Overall, if you get the sizing right, this is a good quality item, thank you.

I'm usually between a size medium and large, between 10 and 12 US size with 36B bra, so I got a 12 and it fits perfectly; solidly tight but not uncomfortable.I have a similar previous wetsuit top by the same brand and my only problem with that one was that the long sleeves were too loose while everything else fit tightly; I would get sleeves full of cold water that I'd have to deliberately pour out with how I held my arms. This short sleeve version seems a much better arm size, and never collects puddles of water, and fits on more easily than before. Ironically it can be harder to get out of the shorter sleeve since you can't use the same hand to hang onto the sleeve as you pull out of it, but the zipper is sturdy and it all seems well-made and durable. There's a strong chemical smell when you first pull it out of the packaging, but it fades quickly. Works great for keeping your core warm! Overall cute style and looks well-proportioned and well-made!

Reviews of clothing can be challenging in terms of relevance to other potential buyers. As everyone is well aware... Size matters.Getting the perfect fit for the myriad of body types and sizes is a practice in compromise. Not that compromise should reflect on the overall quality of a clothing item.In this case we have a neoprene short sleeve 2mm top. When used as a wetsuit it should fit snugly to do it's job - keeping a layer of warmer water next to your body. When used as a paddling top, snug doesn't matter, in fact it can be bothersome. It's possible that a size smaller would have fit "better" but again it may also have been more restrictive to paddling movements. The construction of this top is very clean. Nice seams, quality neoprene, a functioning zipper. It's a 2mm fabric a thickness that will work well for the cooler winter days in North Florida and with layers it will work on even colder days. It doesn't restrict paddling strokes.I suspect it will age like most neoprene, suffering the most in places where there is significant bending/bunching and physical wear/abrasion. It doesn't appear as though it will perform any better or worse than what is commonly available. It's difficult to provide more information than this on an initial review, especially for a product that is seasonal in use. Expect updates later this year, when the cool weather paddle season begins. The value for the dollar spent is reasonably high. Neoprene isn't cheap, nor are the zipper and labor to make it.
