Product Description

This product is mainly used in indoor scenes, sensing whether there is movement or micro movement of the human body in the area, and outputting real-time detection results. The farthest sensing distance can reach 5 meters, with a distance resolution of 0.75m. Provide visual configuration tools that can easily configure sensing distance range, sensing sensitivity in different intervals, and unmanned delay time to meet different specific application requirements.

Supports GPIO and UART outputs, plug and play, and can be flexibly applied to different intelligent scenarios and terminal products.

The LD2410B human body24GHz millimeter wave radar sensor technology, which has obvious advantages in human body sensing applications compared to other solutions:

1. In addition to being sensitive to the movement of the human body, it can also be sensitive to static, micro moving, and sitting and lying human bodies that cannot be recognized by traditional methods;

2. Has good environmental adaptability, and the sensing effect is not affected by the surrounding environment such as temperature, brightness, humidity, and light fluctuations;

3. It has good shell penetration and can be hidden inside the shell to work, without the need for holes on the surface of the product, improving the product's aesthetics;

4. Flexible configuration of the farthest sensing distance and sensitivity on each distance door, achieving flexible and refined personalized configuration; 5. Equipped with Bluetooth function, it can directly use the APP to debug radar parameters without connecting to a serial por

These sensors can detect static objects. No more waving your arms around to re-trigger your PIR sensor, no worrying about setting custom delays. These are even easier to use and way more effective than PIR! I currently have mine setup with Home Assistant. Still haven't setup a relay for it, but I'm eager to use this in a permanent install.

I've used PIR sensors in the past but wanted better detection, especially for non-moving subjects. After finding documentation for "HLK-LD2410B" and taking a while to digest it, this is just amazing and very configurable.Included is a development board that holds the radar module mounted on it. It offers a USB power connection, which also does USB serial to a PC. The board also has Bluetooth, to connect to a phone or PC app. The radar board can be removed and offers a digital presence/no presence output, and serial communication.The HLKRadarTool app (Android) connects easily via Bluetooth and shows detailed graphs of detection information, and allows full configuration (there's also a Windows program but I didn't try it). Once configured the small modile on the board can be unplugged and put in your circuit. It just requires +5V, and has a digital output for human detection, so it's literally as simple to wire as a PIR module.The sensor basically detects static presence, and motion, simultaneously at all distances, reporting each as a strength value. For each range of distances a sensitivity threshold can be set. So it can be adjusted to filter out any unwanted presence (large objects) or motion of something in the area, and just trigger on things above these thresholds. The app shows an awesome real-time view of this data (turn on Engineering mode in the upper-right).I haven't looked for serial protocol documentation, but I'd assume the same data shown in the app can be received and interpreted by your system.

Took a minute to understand how to use it, and once you get it dialed in it works very well. It's so awesome to be able to go into my office and the lights turn on the instant I step in. I want to get some more but restrictively expensive here on Amazon, so will likely order from the mainland and save some cash.

I used these with Home Assistant. I haven't purchased on Amazon. I get from another site (I won't mention) since I don't need them right away and for about a 3rd of the cost. But, for now during testing, I'm using this dev board and LD2410 with an ESP32 and ESPhome Bluetooth Proxy. Works great! No need to configure a YAML in ESPhome with the BT Proxy. Just flash the ESP32 and power it. Put the LD2410 and Dev board next to it and HA sees it and adds the Integration. You can connect to an ESP8266 (D1 Mini) or directly too the ESP32 via Uart. This will give you some more flexibility like being able to adjust sensitivity. But, HL Link also has a mobile app that connects to the dev board and you can set sensitivity there (Zero means high sensitivity and 100 means low/no). So... Going the Uart route and having to create a YAML is just more work than needed. The only down side it ESPhome's BT proxy only works on ESP32s and won't flash to say a D1 Mini.But... these things are great because unlink a PIR that only triggers on motion, these trigger presence as well. So... no lights or fans turning off and waving your arms to trip a PIR....lol. They have 8 zones of detection, in increments of .75m, you can adjust the sensitivity or disable detection by zone.So far, false triggers just haven't happen indoors. I am testing in a garage, in Arizona, so heat may end up being an issue. We'll see. These are also a much better cheaper option especially if you have a 3D printer and can print some cases for them...opposed to say a consumer presence sensor using the same type of sensor. Huge fan of these!
