This is a well built, classy looking clock. Chimes on the hour, with a volume button ... which is useful. Turns off at 10pm and on again at 6am.The movement is silent. The clock face is simple but stylish. Really easy to see. Casing is of quality oak wood. All in all this clock screams style and quality. I looked at many but kept coming back to this one and glad that I did as it is a truly lovely time piece.

Quartz movements can be a little annoying on cheepwall clocks.But this one is very soft, almost silent.Wood cabinet is solid.Overall I’m very happy-

Only chimes on the hour which is odd for Westminster. I do however like that it stops streaming at 10 and then doesn’t start chiming again until 6 AM

Prior to purchasing this clock, I bought different mantel clock, it was much longer and took up more space. It was okay, but the glass was too round and beveled too much which caused glare. I could not read the clock from different areas around the living room due to glare. This HM clock has a glass cover with some bevel to it, but doesn't cause too much glare when living room lights are on. I love the shape too. Doesn't take up too much room on a mantel. I have this one on top of my armoire where I keep all my music equipment hidden from sight. My armoire is solid oak and I wanted an oak clock above it to match up with my decor. This clock looks old fashion and ties in well. My husband does not like roman numeral clocks so this clock is perfect. It has easy to read large black (Arabic) numbers not those faded numbers that are hard to read. It has black hands which are easier to read than gold, silver or bronze hands. I have no problem telling the time from a distance and I have bad eyesight. No second hand so no ticking. Quiet clock until it chimes (which you can turn off). It has adorable chimes that you can control. I have them setup on the lowest setting so when it chimes during the hour it has a soft faint sound. Easy setup instructions. No chime after 10:01 pm so this means the last chime is at 10 pm and the first chime of the day is at 6 am. With this sound set so low, it doesn't really matter when it goes off plus it is in my living room and not my bedroom. There is a button to align the chimes with the hour. It took less than five minutes to align the correct number of chimes with the hour. There is also an on/off switch to turn off the chime if need be. Great price. Looks good. Whole family loves it. So far this clock works great.

THIS MANTAL CLOCK IS VERY NICE & GOT OK AND IT RUNS FINE I LIKE THE CHIMES BUT HAVE NOT HAD THE TIME TO TURN THEM ON AGAIN & I HAVE IT IN MY ROOM THANKS FOR THIS ITS NICE. WOULD RECOMEND IT TO PEOPLE BUT TURN IT OFF WHEN YOU GO TO SLEEP SO YOU DON'T WAKE YOURSELF UP...
