Each color was supposed to be packed into the plastic bag in the same order as the preprinted chart on the canvas. However, shipping settled the threads to surround each other instead of laying flat and in proper order. Since the instructions warn you that the chart color hues may not indicate the actual color of the thread, the shipping scumble made the thread selection very difficult since the threads are not numbered in any way. (There are 30 colors) The instructions also warn you that this is a kit for an experienced needle pointer, which I am, so I was able to substitute various colors from my stock of floss. The vendor needs to find a better way of shipping and/or numbering the color thread.I have wanted to do this beautiful design for many years, so I look forward to starting soon.

this was, perhaps humorously, described as a KIT. what i received was an $80 small bag of yarn. There was no backing to attach the thread, no picture, no directions, no description and no needle.very disappointing

Be wary that the colors aren’t actually labeled and you have to handle this package very carefully. Because the colors are packaged in the order the code on the canvas is printed. However, mild handling will jumble some of the smaller bundles and now I’m not sure which color some of them are since they got mixed up just from carefully unwrapping everything.Something so expensive should come with better color coding and organization.The canvas is gorgeous, regardless though. This will take me forever to do since the colors that got jumbled don’t even match the color coding so this will be a huge challenge to decipher.

This review is for Hudemas' Needlepoint Kit (Ruby). This is a high quality, carefully printed needlepoint canvas (14 mesh mono). The colors are vibrant. The horizontal printing is perfect. Vertically, it is skewed about two stitches every 12 inches. This is precise printing, compared with most needlepoint canvases. I extended the design size to 12 x 28 inches to better fit frames obtainable in the United States.For all my projects, I discard the floss that comes with any kit, and purchase floss from a local store. Therefore, I can't speak for the fibers that came with the kit.

Bonjour, Il y a un problème, les écheveaux ne sont pas numérotés, comment savoir si on utilise la bonne couleur ?car il y un nombre limité d’écheveaux par couleurs difficilement identifiables par rapport au canevas car comme il est précisé la teinte du canevas peut différer par rapport aux écheveaux ! aucune références ni sur le référencier du canevas, ni sur écheveaux comment savoir si on utilise la bonne couleur, vue la différence de teinte du canevas par rapport aux fils. On nous dit que les couleurs sont dans l'ordre mais désolées cela ne correspond pas à l'ordre du nuancier sur le canevas. Je vais y aller au PIF je verrais s'il me manque des fils. Bref je ne suis pas tranquille.

I purchased 331, 332 and 333. They arrived yesterday - taking from Nov 9 thru Dec 1. These come from Italy so I did not expect them to come like Amazon’s 2 day Prime Membership! They arrived in perfect shape, well packaged and all together in one huge envelope, individually wrapped in plastic. I have only opened 331 and it is gorgeous!!! The yarn was all there but I had some difficulty sorting them according to their matching color on the chart. The shades are very close together and a little difficult to decipher. Could be my aging eyes(!) but I really wish they would pre-label them so there is no question. I am always afraid if I get it wrong I will run out. I will update this as I progress, but for now I am very excited and can’t wait to get started.
