It's missing a leather case...Consider that you have to find someone who will craft a case for you, which is not an easy stuff in most of the cities. It's a bit disappointing considering the quality of the axe and the brand, that they didn't include at least a low quality axe sheath.

Well made axe head. Unfortunately it was hung crooked on handle.

You have to profile it yourself so it is as good as you make it.Good length, good weight.Mine had a straight handle with excellent grain orientationI have modded and thinned my handle excessively but the palmswell is on the smaller side but does the job well when shaped correctly

Ok, I love tools. Especially cool tools and this is cool! I sharpened the axe as soon as I got my hands on it. Then I went out back to split a large log and split it with ease. Swinging a 4.5 lb axe head will generate enough energy to chop or split anything. Of course, I got a workout but I enjoy breaking a sweat

Very nice chopping axe. Nice leather cover for the blade end. I'm not a timbersports athlete. I do residential tree service. Not with an axe, but I know my way around the tool. I bought this and a cheaper "boys axe" for my son. Want him to learn the value of the old ways while he's still interested

This is a beautiful axe. I’ve read some of the bad reviews and just have to scratch my head a bit. If you are a axe person and truly use it you will put your own edge on it regardless even though the edge mine had was plenty sharp to chip timber or spilt logs. The balance of this axe is amazing and the fit and finish is on point. The grain orientation was nice and strait as I like it to be. Also they must be reading the reviews cause mine came with a sheath.Being able to get a HB felling axe for under $200 bucks is a absolute steal. I mean GB small forest axe is over that so even if they don’t put extra work into it like a perfect edge or a sheath(even though I got one) it’s what has to be done to get it into our hands for such a reasonable price.I will cherish this axe til I die...

Axe arrived with I'm assuming clamp marks on the head, not a great big deal but for the cost of the axe there should be better quality control. Handle was in good shape with good grain orientation. I almost wish it came without the sticker on the head, it smears if you hit it wrong off a piece of wood or tree and doesn't look good. Comes with a varnish over the head to protect from rust, but it scratches and doesn't look very good either. In my opinion it's more of a novelty axe to show off, rather than something you would take out into the woods to chop down a tree. Not that you couldn't it's just there's better tools for the job. With all that being said I still like it because its unique and kind of fun to use with the 32" handle and 4.5 lb head.

Great axe for the price, with some fine tuning on the cutting edge and some attention to the handle, this is A+ axe.

Axe seemed well made and I’m sure the steel is great even though I didn’t use it before returning it. My problem with it was the fit and finish. Head was misaligned with the handle, and the handle was slightly bent. For a premium price I expected more attention to detail. The head was even coated in laquor which was marred from shipping. I’ve purchased axes for half the price in better presented condition. No sheath with this axe. Sent it back. Too many issues, though functionally I’m sure it would be fine and chop wood.
