The 3 foam dividers that came with the case are cheap looking. More dividers that are heftier would be nice.

I agree completely with the other reviewers in that this case is a pro-grade, well designed and built case, even better IMHO than a similar SKB case I looked at. Having been a field engineer for many years toting roto-molded tool boxes across the fruited plain, the H & B case is every bit as sturdy as those boxes. The tilt 'n' pull handle is not some cheap unit barely able to hold its own against the force of gravity, but a heavy-duty unit you can sit a young child on and haul along with your brass. The walls are thick and the vinyl supple, but strong.Yes, the case is heavy and with a full load no easy tote, but your pies WILL BE SAFE. the case does like to rock on its wheels when it's upright--but there's an easy fix: load your cymbals with the lightest ones toward the tilt 'n' pull handles, with the heavier ones away from the handle (or to the top of the case if you prefer). That puts the weight away from the wheels, and the sucker then sits on its feet much more securely. The case will likely hold more than eight cymbals, also: I have six, including a 24" ride and have room for at least four more if I had them.BTW, the current pic is what the thing looks like now and the handle is easy on the hands and strong, beside looking nice. Buy with great confidence, a steal at under $200.00 USD!

Unlike the Protechtor cymbal case, this one lets you secure the cymbals inside without having the locking mechanism built into the top cover of the case. I was worried about fitting my 8 cymbals into the case, but had no problem, and was very happy to see that it includes four two-part felt dividers to keep the cymbals from touching each other. The center of the divider can be used for the smaller cymbals while the outer ring can protect the larger cymbals. The only issue I have (and the reason I gave it only four stars) is that once it is full the case does not stand up on it's own. It is top heavy and wants to fall over. They should have designed a better base so that it will stay upright when filled. But it is very heavy duty and I will hopefully get years of service from it.

Better than I expected! The retractable handle is VERY sturdy. I ordered the 24" model, which is 2" larger than I needed. This protects against damage from being dropped on edge.I just took it on its maiden voyage on a fly-in gig and it was great.
