We use this for our giant kite and the handle is very sturdy, with more than enough line, and is big enough for those of our family with large hands. The line cleat in the middle is great for tying the line at a great length and just relaxing while enjoying the beautiful day and kite.

Strung braided Dacron onto this for a large parafoil, worked exactly like I wanted it!I will say although the handle is beefy it didn’t hold as much length as I expected but good product so far still. Very sturdy even with all the pressure from the line strung onto it!

Replaced the string that came with my stunt kite with these and it works great. My stunt kite didn't have a separate handle for the string so you have to unwrap it from a single winding bar. This much easier to release the line out slowly by tilting it up or down to let it slip over the ridge. Few times the string would get stuck, maybe it just the way it was wrapped around initially. But overall a great kite string replacement.
