Wasn't sure if it was worth my while to fix the speakers in some old (but nice sounding) Infinity RS 1000 bookshelf speakers. Glad I did. was not hard to do and saved these little guys from landfill...Found using a Dremel with wire brush help get off some of the stubborn glue adhesive from old speakers...the included instructions were complete and well written (which was good because the URL to online instructions seemed to be down...)

The quality of the foam is very good, and the glue is supplied in an easy to use squeeze bottle. I am not sure what the brush is for; it was not mentioned in the instructions I received. I used it to whisk away fragments of the old foam as I removed them. The real gem in this kit is the instructions. They are clear, specific and carefully organized. Replacing foam surrounds requires good dexterity, decent vision and a bit of patience. I have done the job before without instructions, and the result was mediocre. It worked, but I wasn't entirely pleased. Using these instructions, I got a result I feel great about. I'm listening to the speakers as I write this. They sound like they supposed to. One more thing. I had a question about one part of the procedure. I called the 800 number, got a knowable person right away, and my question was quickly answered.

Contrary to the information on the page, this kit will not work for Infinity RS-1001 models with the 902-4151 speaker. The Gasket is molded on and cannot be removed.

I was a little worried about these as they were supposed to fit many different speakers. But they fit my infinitesimal 4's just right. The instructions are really good.
