Used this actuator to repair a Chamberlain/Liftmaster garage door lock mechanism that they wanted $155 for! Same car door lock actuator inside. New one works perfectly. Hope it lasts longer than the original (1.5 years).Note that these are cheap parts with plastic gears and housing, so don't expect high durability. If you don't mind replacing them when they fail, you can't beat the price.

Product works very well so far. I have purchased 12 overall and they are all tied into one single activator so that should give me a good indication how well they will hold up. More to follow.Update (Perfect fit replacement part for my Newmar Motorhome baggage doors)I have replaced and installed all 12 lock actuators on my Newmar Motorhome and they were a perfect fit, I did not have to change a thing. All actuators work as described. They are a little noisy but I think it’s mostly the metal switch in the locking mechanism and not the actuator. I also think they are more powerful than the original actuators and I hope this means they will last longer.Update as of 30 June 2024I’m about 4 months in and all the actuators work flawlessly, they have been opened and closed hundreds of times and all 12 originally purchased are still functioning.

There is a youtube video showing how to repair a liftmaster garage lock using this part. It fits perfectly, feels and looks exactly like the original actuator and performs the same. The plastic actuator is the weak link in the Liftmaster auto door lock. A oem replacement costs over 130 dollars from Liftmaster but that includes the entire metal housing, linkages and deadbolt. This plastic acuator costs around 5-8 dollars and takes no more than 30 minutes to replace. Unbolt the lock from the garage door track, remove screws to open the lock housing, replace the actuator, solder the green wire to the white/black and the blue to the solid white and put back together. Done. Cheap, fast, effective. I have no doubt this actuator will break eventually just like the original but I bought a package of 4 so I can do this repair as needed. Even if it only lasts for a year or two, it cannot be beat for the price.

I recently purchased the InstallGear Universal Car Power Door Lock Kit Actuator from Amazon, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. As someone who likes to enhance their car's features, this kit has been a game-changer for me.Installation of the kit was relatively straightforward, even for someone with basic mechanical knowledge like myself. The package contains four 12-volt motors, which are compact and fit seamlessly within the door frame. The included wiring and connectors were of high quality and made the installation process hassle-free. Clear instructions were provided, ensuring a smooth and efficient setup.Once installed, the door lock actuators function flawlessly. They are responsive and provide secure locking with every use. I appreciate the versatility of these actuators, as they are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, regardless of make or model. It's worth mentioning that the motors operate quietly, without any annoying noise or vibration. One of the standout features of this kit is the inclusion of keyless entry remotes. These remotes offer convenience and ease of access to your vehicle. The range of the remotes is impressive, allowing for unlocking or locking from a considerable distance. Additionally, the remotes are durable and have a solid build quality, ensuring longevity.I also wanted to applaud the durability of the actuators. Despite being subjected to daily use and potential stress, they have proven to be reliable and resistant to wear and tear. This robustness has given me peace of mind, knowing that the door locks will function properly in any situation.Overall, the InstallGear Universal Car Power Door Lock Kit Actuator is a fantastic product that delivers on its promises. It offers a simple and effective way to upgrade your car's door lock system, providing convenience, security, and reliability. With its easy installation, durable construction, and excellent performance, this kit is definitely worth considering if you're looking to enhance your car's functionality. I highly recommend it!

Just finished installing these into the rear doors on my 2008 Chevrolet Impala LT. Was a small learning curve in terms of getting the door panel off, placement of the actuator, and bending of the rod. First one wasn't perfect and didn't correctly maneuver the lock (this would have certainly lead to an early death of the device). Second one appears to be just right, no issue. Went back in and corrected the first one and it appears to be just fine now - moved the grub screw connector around and re-bent the rod. Strong power compared to the shape the stock actuators were in.Attempted to install one in the driver's door and quickly ran out of luck/patience. The two wires that were normally spliced into didn't seem to power the actuator and it also cut out entry lighting and the door chime. I ended up calling it there and reconnected the stock wiring. My assumption is that with the extra components involved in the driver's door panel that these actuators would be less than ideal - pretty much giving you the option of only sticking to OEM or aftermarket (NOT UNIVERSAL) actuators specific to the Impala. Personally, I can deal with physically unlocking my driver's door when needed and dodging the $100+ repair and the apparent headache involved with installation at the moment.Bottom line is this: Assuming these last for a decent amount of time, the price paid for the 4 pack is totally worth repairing 2 doors and dodging the cost and labor involved in the official OEM repair. Would buy again in a heartbeat if needed.
