I’ve always been intrigued by laser-etched glass, and I found a great selection on Amazon. When I saw this one, I had to grab it. It’s a small light, not too big, just a glass sphere about 2 inches in diameter that sits on a molded base that looks like the ocean floor. It has an RGB LED inside that changes colors. The power comes from a USB-A cable that’s hardwired to the light board. It’s not super fancy, but I find it really enjoyable to watch. The etching inside is super clear and well-done. The jellyfish are super clear, and the moon and clouds are in the right place near the top of the sphere.The only thing I don’t like about these lights is the colored circle that shows up on the ceiling. This is because the LED light isn’t diffused enough. It’s easy to fix. Just take a piece of parchment paper, cut it a little bigger than the hole so that it floats above the LED, and place the sphere over it. No more hard light circle.In summary, for the price, it makes a great night light for anyone or a small “thank you” gift. Every time I get a new one, my grandkids see it and it’s gone in an instant! Highly recommended for anyone with an intriguing mind.

This etched crystal sphere is so pretty. The jellyfish etching inside is very lovely and the jellyfish really seem to float among the little bubbles placed within to give the illusion of water. The crystal, itself, is good quality, as well. I was incredibly concerned when I received this package and saw that it had not been handled well, with the little box the crystal and base were supposed to be inside having been mangled apart in transit and the contents loose inside the Amazon envelope, but I was relieved to see that the base and crystal remained undamaged and still functioned perfectly.It’s easy to turn on and off, as well as to change color settings. It’s very relaxing, and a nice decoration and lamp. The base is perfect sized for the crystal sphere, and the sphere is about 2.5-to-3inches in diameter, by visual guesstimate.I only took off a star because the moon-themed base doesn’t exactly ‘go with’ the jellyfish themed crystal. It would have been nicer with a plain base or something ocean-themed, since the jellyfish are aquatic.

I got the squid version.It looks at it is in the photos.The base is made to look like coral for a marine environment.This comes with a fairly short USB A cable so you will need any phone charger to plug it into a wall outlet. There is a push button switch to turn it on and off. One could replace the cable with a longer one. A female to male USB A would work and still have the switch work.I would like to be able to have it stay on one light color instead of only cycling through all the colors.I would also rather it ran on.batteries so it could be placed anywhere.It's a neat item but would be even nicer if it had the changes I mentioned. Then it would be really neat.

The etched jellyfish light up really well. Comes with the light up base and USB charging/power cable. Small in size that doesn't take up much space, so can put practically anywhere. Great on a desk, or in a kids room. Looks really cool at night. Is a good price, would also make a good gift!

This ended up being even smaller than I expected, but it's such a cool little decoration regardless!It's very much handheld size. The base comes separate, the orb gets placed on top, and there's a cable to plug it in with an on/off switch (it only works while plugged in). When on, it automatically cycles through a rainbow of colors, including plain white. The light really highlights the details in the tiny jellyfishes, which actually look really good for their size.I'll be real, I'm not sure 100% which direction they were going when creating this. Maybe jellyfishes in space? When I ordered this, I honestly wasn't sure what the figure inside the orb above the jellyfish was, and thought it was probably a diver. In person, it looks more like maybe just a moon and cloud--definitely not a diver, though. This whole thing is basically halfway between being underwater themed and astronaut themed. While the base looks like it could be some sort of underwater landscape, it looks even more like the moon. Even the little guy on the base, I thought he was supposed to be a diver, but he has no fins, so I think he is actually an astronaut. I may just paint some fins on his feet to make him blend in better.Either way, I'm a fan of both underwater and interstellar movies, as they're basically the same genre but different environments, so I actually think it's really cool having features of both together in this ornament. The details, while a bit confusing, are really well-done for how small this is, and the painting looks really good as well. I own some larger jellyfish glass decorations similar to this, but none of them look nearly as good as these jellyfish. The details are just perfect. I'm very impressed by how good this looks, especially when it's lit up.This may be small, but the colorful light helps it stand out in my display. My whole jellyfish collection looks a lot cooler with this little guy lighting it up. I'm very happy with how good it looks, especially for such a good price. Highly recommend.
