Well, the lock itself seems sturdy enough however my 8 yr old sun managed to rip it off of the adhesive that came with it. Also I think it's worth noting that it has very difficult to find information on this lock without actually contacting the manufacturer. And Rufus (the new Amazon AI assistant) apparently does not use your order information to answer any questions, even from inside the order. Looking back I don't know if I would purchase this item again.

I don't recommend you guys purchasing these they are very cheaply made and they do not lock one little soft tug to them and they're broke highly recommend spending the money to get a better product

When someone was getting into the fridge at night and eating multiple yogurts, because they don't remember that they recently had one (due to a medical condition), I decided the time had come to put locks on the fridge and freezer. These work very well. We're going to be buying more very soon, because the cupboard where we keep the raisins and the peanut butter needs to be locked now too.

I used this on a small fridge for back up drinks , it was easy to install , looks good and kept the kids from drinking all the drinks at once. They did try cutting the wire but failed.

It's a very very cheap design but it works for me more of an indicator that someone (a family member) has been in my cheap toolbox, moreso than actually protecting it. With the relative strength of it, it's not even worth screwing in, only using the adhesive which has held up surprisingly well.

This is the best childproof lock yet I bought. I have a toddler who gets into everything their hands land on and these locks have helped with keeping my refrigerator locked to avoid from having it left open or my cheese slices for sandwiches being eaten in one day. I would recommend them to anyone who has children that gets into everything.
