I noticed one evening that my Mirafount automatic cattle waterer was overflowing and found that the problem was a waterlogged float which kept the water valve from shutting off. ( The waterer works just like a toilet valve)After taking everything apart and measuring the dimensions of the float the hunt was on to find one ASAP. I needed one quick so the cows would have fresh water to drink. ( They still had fresh water after manually filling up the water tanks twice a day)Amazon had a float that was the same size but was made just a little different. I took a chance and ordered the one from Amazon and also ordered the OEM float from the factory knowing it would be out a week or two from the factory.The float from Amazon arrived in a couple days in perfect condition. Even though it wasn’t identical to the OEM float, it fit perfectly and has been working great ever since. The OEM float arrived about a week later and it is now sitting in the shop as a backup.
