I am impressed with this lock. It took me, working alone, about 75 minutes to remove the door handle, install this one, and set up the different access methods. I am pleased with how nice it looks, and how well made this lock seems to be. I put it on our front door, and I definitely feel that it is an upgrade. It seems comparable to name brands that I have seen in the home improvement stores which are significantly more expensive. While it operates on 4 AA batteries, which will have to be changed on a regular basis, because it still has a traditional key access, I am not worried about having an access issue if the batteries die. The finger print reader seems to work pretty reliably, but I am not sure how that will translate in the winter when my hands tend to get dried and cracked more. The fobs work every time. Overall, I am very pleased with this upgrade!

There are eight ways to unlock it, including fingerprint, passcode, app control, IC card, mechanical key, and even Alexa voice control with the optional G2 Wi-Fi gateway. It has an AI-powered fingerprint scanner, and it claims to get smarter with every use. However, I haven't seen any difference, yet. That is not a bad thing because it already works well. It is capable or storing 100 fingerprints and installs surprisingly easy. It took me about 15 minutes (start to finish) with just a screwdriver—no drilling or wiring required. It's made of corrosion-resistant alloy that can handle extreme temperatures and is IP65 waterproof, making it perfect for outdoor use. Another feature is it's auto-lock which you can customize, plus, the anti-peep passcode helps stop people from looking over your shoulder when you enter a passcode. You can manage access; track unlock records and create temporary or permanent codes for guests. It’s a perfect great way for hosts to automate their rentals. The only minor downside is you'll need to replace the battery which means it's something else you will need to keep track of. You will need 4 AA batteries, not included. Note: Lithium batteries last longer and will reduce the amount of times per year you will need to replace them.

This keyless lock and door handle is pretty impressive. It was very easy to install and seems quite heavy-duty. I really like how it can be unlocked in a variety of ways: fingerprint, numerical code, key, keycard, and via the phone app (although you need to be within Bluetooth range to do that). The phone app is fairly intuitive to use, but it does include a bunch of stuff that is not applicable to this particular product. I suppose that's to use the brand's other products within the same app.The inside door handle always works the way it should, engaging the latch to open the door. The outside handle in its default state, however, turns freely and doesn't engage the latch until you "unlock" it, at which point it will engage and allow you to open the door. It will relock/disengage automatically after a set amount of time, which you can adjust. (I have it set to 10 seconds.)Using the phone app, you're able to register fingerprints, add unlock codes, send unlock codes to people, and register the two reusable RF keycards included in the package. What's especially useful is how the app gives you a number of different options for how long each code/keycard/fingerprint can be used. Fingerprints and keycards have "Timed," "Permanent" and "Recurring" options. Numerical codes have "Timed," "One-time," "Permanent," and "Recurring" options. Obviously, the most convenient choice for everyone who lives in the dwelling is the fingerprint option. It's so quick and easy to use, both in adding your fingerprint--in which you must place your finger on the sensor 4-5 times to properly register it--and in reading it, which is pretty much instantaneous. The app offers a subscription to their "advanced features," but the product works really well as is. The advanced features seem to be geared towards people who rent their homes.I'm very impressed with this device.

This is a ruggedly built smart door lock. Installation was pretty straightforward. It is recommended if you have both a deadbolt and a knob set to use the upper position for this smart lock. I could not do that as the lock handle would conflict with the storm door handle. In the lower position, there was not room between it and the deadbolt. I don't use the deadbolt, so I took it out and installed a blank plate. Problem solved, I thought. Turns out I have 3 1/4 inch space between the door and the storm door. The handle on the lock sticks out 3 3/8 inch. As a result, the storm door will not latch properly. I adjusted the latch out on the storm door, but now the door is not shut tight. I'll probably move this to another outside door that does not have a storm door on it. For now I have left it on this heavily used door to review it properly. After installation, I installed the TTLock app on my phone. The instructions were a little sketchy for my senior citizen mind, but I got it on okay. After installing the app, the included instructions are very good, so I won't repeat them. You do have to be within Bluetooth range to do this programming. I first setup an entry code making it permanent. You have a choice of One-time, Permanent, Custom or Recurring. As you go through each programming option on the app, the instructions are again, very clear. To teach it your fingerprint, you need to repeat it 5 times or until it is happy. I did find when it is cold out or your finger is very dry, it does not work well. Now that things are warming up here in Western New York, it is getting better. If you want to do things remotely, you will need the Gateway Bridge for even more options. Other then the storm door problem, I would highly recommend this product. It would be nice if a slightly smaller handle could be provided.
