The lower knuckle, has a different spline pattern. I could not get it to seat on the steering knuckle. Note the original has 5 or so splines in between the flat spots, where as this one has none and it makes for incorrect spacing. Also orientation is different. Making you need an alignment.

The only problem I encountered was the rubber sleeve where it goes through the firewall was too small, but a zip tie keeps it in place.

The ends attached... which I guess allows them to say that it fits most of these years (trucks). Although, the rubber boot was too small for my ford f-150, 03. This part actually caused more steering wheel play than the original that I was replacing.
