I got this lock so my parents didn't have to keep up with a key to my house. My mother is forever not being able to find her keys, so I've been installing keyless locks on their home and mine so they don't have to keep up with keys and could still get into the house without a key. They are from an older generation that is used to keys, but once my mother got over her stubborn streak of "not having to remember another pin", she fell in love with it. She wasn't hunting for her house keys or for the keys to my house. I set them their own pin and entered their prints. My mother loves the fingerprint reader since she doesn't have to type anything in and can do it with her hands full. I did choose a lock with buttons versus a touchpad because they needed the tactile nature of physical buttons and my father's fingers are forever pressing more than one button at a time on touchscreens, plus physical buttons are more accessible for persons with individual needs. Physical buttons are also easier to access if you can't see the pad because you have so much in your hands. I do have locks with touchscreen on other locks, but discovered I preferred those with a physical button. The keys also light up, which it easier to see them in the dark. The lock can be set to auto-lock which is great to make sure your door is locked even when someone forgets to do it. The lock was super easy to install. This lock is well worth the money, safety, and knowledge that my parents and kids can always get into the house.
