Have one of these brands UV filters? On all my lenses, they're cheap and they're clear and they do the job.

I always used Hoya but these are cheaper and equal in quality. Also a bit slimmer than a number of other makes.

Very reasonable price for 2 lens filters for a larger optics (77mm). The CPL has nice knurls around it to easely grip to rotate it for different effects to photos. Both filters have enough frame for the lens cap to securely clip on. Will purchase more for my other lenses.

K&F is a relatively new brand to me, but they have yet to disappoint. Their products are great quality, and are competitively priced. The VND filter and CPL filters both work well on their own, or stacked with eachother. The fit and finish is spot on, and feels like quality. Depending on what version of their products you get, you’ll either get anodized black or a copper/ orange color. They seem to protect the main lens glass well, and don’t budge at all once snugged down. Highly recommend their products!

A quality 77 mm polarizer can cost hundreds of dollars. I have several made by the biggest names on the business. I recently added a new lens that uses 77 mm filters so I decided to try this Vine evaluation product. The test images shot with the polarizer showed good sharpness - the primary reason you spend big money on a quality filter. The polarizing effect of this filter was as good as I expected (actually a littler stronger / better than a very expensive German filter I own) by darkening blue sky and effectively removing glare from reflections like glass. However, to get the perfect polarizing effect you have to gently rotate the outside ring of the filter with precision. Occasionally you have to rotate back and forth to get that perfect shot. With this filter, that isn't easy. If you rotate clockwise it binds (a lot). When you twist back in the other direction, the entire filter unscrews because the outer ring is so tight - basically, it's not smooth and if you are not paying attention you could unscrew the entire filter and have it come off. The other polarizing filters I own rotate smoothly in both directions making precise adjustments easier. Not so with this one - if you pass the exact effect you want, you have to do another complete rotation; you can't rotate in the other direction without unscrewing the whole filter. - risking dropping it That tells me the cost savings were made on cutting corners on build quality. The skylight / clear filter, in my test, doesn't seem to degrade images and I think it can live on the outside of your lens to offer protection ... However, you should not stack the polarizer on top of the clear filter - it can cause reflections and is not recommended by anyone with experience using filters. If you only occasionally use a polarizer, this filter would be serviceable, delivering better color saturation and removing reflections off water, glass and polished surfaces.Optically good, tight outer ring - you make the call...

The only test I have available to me to evaluate a polarizer is to use the polarized light from a current generation LCD monitor along with some non-polarized light to see what the filter eliminates. The setup behind the two images that are part of this review is simple. I put a DSLR on a tripod in front of a set that included mostly polarized light from a monitor as well as a bit of non-polarized light from an accent light set to the side. I kept the ISO, aperture and shutter speed constant. In one image, I had the K&F circular polarizer set to the minimum and the other snap is set to the maximum. I also included a histogram from both images to the right of where the computer monitor is in both images. The filter did a good job of filtering out the majority of the light from the monitor indicating it does a filtering polarized light. While my test setup isn’t a laboratory and I expect a real lab such as DxO would smile at my test, it’s valid in the sense that I’ve had both good and bad results using it. I also used this setup to test the UV filter included in this kit and could see no change. I didn’t post images because if there are any small differences they wouldn’t be visible in a JPEG posted to the Web.I rate both these filters highly. I could detect no color cast from either of them.
