Insert the handle into the clamp and adjust the angle and distance between them
Tighten the screw
Install the clamp on the other side in the same way
Loosen the screw on the other side of the terminal
Fix the clamp on the handlebar and adjust the angle and distance
- Tighten the screws and put on the handlebar cover
- PS: It is better to install it in the thicker pipe for better anti-slip effect

I've had something similar to these that I used for additional lighting and mounting a rearview monitor. It did not occcur to me that I could have and additional handlebar with a long enough tube. I added this to the handle bar of a low speed gotrax sit down scooter that my six year old likes to ride along.The handlebar diameter is 25.4, but the adapter is too thick. So the clamps do not go all the way in along the side of the handlebar clamp.There is still enough room to fully fit the grips, but just barely.The grips are soft rubber and need just a little bit of soapy water to slide onto the tube.Other than the shim being too thick, the rest of is straight forward and works as expected.I did end up using lock on grips. The tube ends are enclosed so I was not able to use the end caps.
