So what does it means? What is an athletic kilt?Well, imaging the Highland games, tossing trees, rocks and weird heavy objects around.Do you want an heavy wool kilt? No, it will become disgustingly dirty fast.Do you want a utility kilt with pockets and all the comfort of a pair of pants? Well, no because you don't want flying pockets as you are spinning with that hammer.Do you want solid and robust material like polyviscose you can wash easily, a strong velcro attachment for your waist and not protuberant extra while you try to compete in the Highlands? Absolutely.So that is what an athletic kilt is. It also works great for long hike as it doesn't mind rain and bad weather (wool may be damaged not this material) or any activities potentially creating sweating.This is going to be my kilt exactly for this usage. Hiking.And as an extra (which is nice as it was unexpected), it came with socks flashed in same green which is awesome. Active and in style.

Hubby is very excited to wear this kilt. The fabric has a very nice and durable feeling. The velcro closure is tight and does not creep open. The stitching seems strong. The fit is true to size. Hubby said it is very comfortable. The flashes that came with the kilt match beautifully and were a nice surprise. Hubby is ready for the Scottish games next year.
